I see on here a lot of complaints that Wolves strikers are not scoring goals. However, to me this is not the only problem. A striker basically has three roles:

1. be an outlet from defense

2. set up second phase attack

3. score goals.

None of these three things are happening. Look at the likes of Berbatov and Ibrahimovic. Both appear to be lazy, do little running but both are superstars. This is because the do the fundamentals of their role excellently.

Not so with the likes of Dicko who does not have the physical presence, or, dare I say it the pace required by a man of smaller stature, to compensate for a lack of strength. Bodvarson has the physicality but not the skill to gather the ball, hold it and distribute it.

Hence, because of a lack of second phase the chances are noit coming. This is why most of Wolves goals are coming from set pieces or the skills of Costa doing it by himself.

This is a serious problem that could still put Wolves position in the Championship in jeopardy. Come on PL you need to sort it out.

I agree wolabby Dicko is mainly a provider not a scorer he was the foil for most of Afobes goals. Now he's asked to lead the attack he looks lost in front of goal. That's why I think a switch to 442 might help him out and help us create a few more chances.
Trouble is we got nobody to put them in the net.

Being honest I for one never thought it would work with Dicho on is own up front, what's he done to improve side in how many months the striker situation is a joke at the moment and hopefully it will get sorted by Lambert for next season, do not want Lambert to keep saying the players have gave there all and played well every week, when it's clear they are down the bottom of league for a reason, because we are definitely in a relegation battle, don't want to even think about it if we lose against Wigan.
Watch out for ex wolves player Jacobs if he plays, sorry to be so negative but we need a big win against Wigan to give us some confidence before Chelsea match.

come on lads let's stop slagging off our own players, we played top of the division and were unlucky, at least held our own, what discusts me atthe moment is the refereeing decisions, I think wolves have refused to pay into the referees fund this year. The only reason that benitez is going on about the wolves fans is to take away out of the news the obvious gift given to newcastle by the referee not sending off there forward. Clever man. Its about time the FA grew balls and started coming down on these cheats and play actors.

Small strikers, I. e doesn't equal they are no good. There a little chap at Sunderland and Newcastle for example who know how to score goals. That's because, they know how to be in the right place at the right time.

Good positional play in the final third and composure in front of goal. I'll let you work out who the small strikers I refer to are. ⚽️👍.

Relegation to League One and then rebuild around a core of Burgoyne, Batth, Price and Ennis - this is highly likely scenario for 2017 into next season.

With giving these players long term contracts makes me think, do Fosun want to go for promotion next season, giving contracts to average players seams a waste of more money to me and will not help to sell season tickets.
Realy hope I am proved wrong but I am not impressed with long term contracts for Dicho, Edwards, Bathe, Evans and looks like Saville next, not one of these players as got me excited enough for me to go and get me a season ticket again, I will carry on as normal and choose my games or watch on telly or listen to Radio, until this side starts doing the business and by that I mean 3 things they Defend better, start creating chances in midfield and get strikers who can score goals and treat we to some shots at goal, then I will get my season ticket again.

Got my season ticket, but agree with what you say. Us old un`s pay about £9 a game in Steve Bull. Can afford to miss now and then. As our supposed strikers do!
