I hope it's true I doubt he is the man to take us up and let's face it he's boring and he's brand of football is boring.

Whoever the new Manager or Head coach is, I'll back 100% but Fosun need to be 100% certain they've done the right thing. If we end up mid table again it will prove that Mendes is inept at player recruitment and is taking Fosun for mugs. Should we win promotion, he'll be idolised forever.

Fact is that Lambert has been bang average, not a disaster but not great. You can argue it is not his team but an able coach should have shown more promise, he has had 6 months.
This Mendes angle is a distraction from the point that Fosun have not been convinced by him. They are not stupid enough to force transfers 100% on the coach without his input. Blaming Mendes and making him out to be the source of all evil is naive, he got us Costa without whom we would have been a L1 team now. Show me any manager that gets transfers 100% right. there isn't one.
People thinking that Tammy Abraham would come to the Mol are deluded, he will go to a Prem club like Brighton for example.
Honestly I want any manager at Wolves to succeed as we all do but on this showing I don't think it is Lambert and I think Fosun feel the same.

This is all just a smokescreen for the fact that fosun don't actually trust lambert to spend money on the type of players they want at the club.
They are trying to make us big in China and that isn't going to be achieved buying the likes of steele and hugill!
These are the 2 players that we have reportedly made bids for in the last few days which are exactly the type lambert and Thelwall like ( young and overrated)
It's just my opinion but I just don't buy it that lambert wishlist included the likes of Abraham, Hanley and Lawrence, because surely you make them bids before other clubs do!
Think this story has been manufactured by lambert himself to deflect away from the fact he knew he was getting the chop and was trying to save face.
Under no circumstances am I agreeing that mendes should be in charge of transfers, but if you were fosun and had just witnessed the last few months of the season would you honestly trust lambert to spend a good chunk of money!

the bad news is paul tamworth is being lined up to replace paul lambert.
I saw thelwell car parked up outside Molineux last night about six o clock he does not usually park at Molineux unless on matchdays.
I really think big changes are coming down here at the Molineux.

The management team should be working together to put a team together that can get Wolves to and stay in the premier league. Lambert made it clear that he does not want foreign players and he did not give a number of players brought in a chance. we need people who are prepared to take our club foreword and not making decisions on sentiment or out dated ideas.

Interesting times ahead again wolves fans, let's get the new coach/ manager in right away if we are going to, no surprise to me if we let him go with were we finished last year and home form was dire and Lambert's team talks and selections was confusing and boring to say the least.
With home form like last year and zero entertainment at the molineux are you realy surprised if we get shut of him because I am not really.

Paul Lambert's job title is head coach, this means he is head of the coaching department. The requirements are to train the players, to create a playing style with the staff he is given, to make them ready to play on a Saturday/ Tuesday. Mendes is not stepping on Lambert's toes, more likely he is doing Thelwell's job in player recruitment. Everybody on this forum calls Lambert "manager" he's not, his main responsibility is to make the players he is given better. who thinks he has done thi? .

At last someone sees it has it is Hemwolf your 100% right lambert is a head coach that's it gone are the days of managers ruling the roost. Lambert has got to except this or he will be moved on however I don't think there will be many people shedding tears over him leaving he is average at best and in the 6 months he's been here he's not really shown much in the way of coaching/ man managing our team. Fosun are in charge and we've all got to except this they will run the club anyway they see fit and if going the Mendes`s root is there choice then we all need to except this. I didn't here anybody complaining when fosun took over and this is the way of football nowadays and the foreign bandwagon will continue to roll on and on with Owners managers and players. Rightly or wrongly this is where English football is at so get used to it. UTW.

The difficulty with this situation is that any coach would want to have players of a certain " type" to best compliment his philosophy and if the players brought in by agents do not fit that philosophy then the whole plan is screwed. At the very least coach and agent need to be on the same page when identifying new players.

Very good comments 1877stlukes, things have changed and players he as mentioned apart from Abraham striker from Chelsea are just average players, the same with Weighman realy, he is okay player but if he was a prolific striker in what we badly need, Derby would of been playing him so either way Lambert as still got a hell of a lot to prove to me, because last season was nowere near good enough and he as to take blame for home form with is boreing team selections, because the football at home was dire to say the least.

Your right guys we need to have a better plan than the one we've got at the moment if fosun are going to continue down the head coach road then the structure has got to be right. To achieve this they will need to implement the style of football that they require and structure this to all age groups so all coaches are working off the same page only this way will the head coach roll work . If there is a footballing philosophy at the club then your head coaches job becomes so much easier, has we all know this is the way a lot of European teams work . Doing this allows the manager/ coach to be changed year by year if required but the footballing philosophy remains. UTW.

Not sure what to make of the latest speculation as to what is going on at the Mol. I'll believe what I see not what I hear. However just a thought, if Fosun aren't successful in achieving their ambitions and eventually walk away the debt on the club will be huge and an unattractive proposition for a new investor. A salutory thought for those who wish to spend, spend, spend, as this could be mortgaging the future. Afterall this is business above football, need for stability methinks.

If we are just going to be a try out for unproved euro talent to be bought, sold on or discarded I can't see how we can build a team from that approach. On the other hand if Lambert only wants journeymen in the Weimann mould and wants to retain Saville who hasn't got a role then that won't take us too far either.
Surely to goodness a strategy was agreed when Lambert was recruited those few months ago and roles and boundaries established. Still don't understand how Thelwell fits into this or whether Fosun have learned anything.
Disappointing when we should be forging ahead.

I have to be honest and say let Fosun do what they came to do and get we promoted, we are all jumping the gun, they have had more time to get things right this season and could surprise we with the players comeing in from Mendes this year, because let's not forget the sale of the club being so late before it was sold last year left we little or no time to have a look at the recruitment of players we bought in, this year could be exactly the opposite with Mendes getting we better players.
Because I am not realy excited on what Lambert wants to keep and also the players mentioned he wants except Abraham who is a Chelsea player on loan at Bristol, don't forget Wolves fans is Coaching skillsh and team selections were very boreing to say the least most of the time especialy at home, also playing square pegs in round holes was no excuse with the amount of players he said he had at is disposal.
