If wolves are serious about getting 16500 season ticket holders before the end of May and us getting a refund we'd better sign some quality players soon
Maybe just me being cynical but does anybody think maybe the quality signings will be done after may?

10 May 2017 21:33:06
I do think the signings will be made after May. The transfer window opens 1st July.

10 May 2017 21:57:53
Yep . They can do the business now but can't officially put pen to paper until July 1st . them is the rules.

10 May 2017 22:22:20
Why then are bids being supposedly made now then or is that just bs.

10 May 2017 22:28:44
Can make bids and sound out potential moves etc just can't put pen to paper .

Thanks for the info.

Which only goes to show that whilst we are all keen to hear details of potential new signings, any release now only increases the chances of someone else coming in and snatching the player before we have the necessary signature.

You can sign people now and get all the paperwork signed and sealed but they won't actually join the club until July 1st as that is when the transfer window opens. Hence you can sign people on pre contract agreements when they have 6 months left on their current deal and they will be announced when the transfer window opens.

We're now being linked with Bartosz Bialkowski.

A lot of fans are unhappy with our performances last season and want the squad to be changed. We've been linked to 2 players (Steele and Hugill) who both have experience of this league and are proven at this level but still some ain't happy. I just don't get it. We are in the Championship and despite how wealthy our owners are, we ain't ever bringing the likes of Ronaldo and Messi until we're in the Premier league.

Bang on the button Jas M.
Some people need to realise that no matter how you change a league name, we finished in the bottom half of the second division. How rich the clubs owners are, doesn't change that fact.

10 May 2017 10:41:57
Jas you should know by now that there are wolves 'fans' who will find something wrong with every mortal thing the club does and this site regrettably has more than its fair share of them.

We'd sign Messi and some would complain he's one footed. I can’t say I know a lot about this Hugill, but then again I don’t tend to watch Preston that often. I think the key for any striker we sign is that he gets off to a good start. If he bangs a couple of goals in the first few games you’d hope he’d settle quickly.

I didn't think ben Marshall was tht good but I think he's played some good games.

10 May 2017 16:55:00
All fans will hopefully get behind whoever we sign once they are out there on the pitch.

This might be a bad analogy but if you come home and you're expecting steak for dinner but your wife (or husband) has heated up the leftovers. You'll still eat it and maybe even enjoy it but your expectations have been let down.

So if we are hoping for Tammy Abraham but end up signing Ishmael Miller, we can all feel badly let down.

Asked the question last week ; why wasn't Molineux being fully opened for the under 23's play off game against West Ham? Nobody responded. Scott Sellar's team had a great season, secured "Home advantage " had a shot at gaining promotion to the "Elite" league and lost to a dodgy refereeing decision in added on time, yet no one at our short sighted club thought it would be a good idea to invite a crowd along! . What's the purpose of the accademy and all the work people put into it if nobody's interested? Get out there, buy some more "rubbish".
