Hi I'm new to this a read this romour site everyday tho, got some real good info on here! I was just wondering if anyone knew if we had any interest in Conor Washington. Watched him a few times he's a good strong player. Cheers.

Wolves now 8/ 11 to sign Zach Clough on with Bristol City being second favourite with 6/ 4.

10 Jan 2016 23:17:56
worrying times. didn't expect Wolves to be a selling club at the beginning of the season, now look at us -Sako, Stearman, Afobe gone arguably 3 of the best players, so who is next? By all means sell-off players but not the best ones!

Will the £10mil stay in the club?

3 new quality players: a striker, a central defender and a left back could cost 2m each and we can be in the top six by Easter.

It is within our grasp!

Come on management, let's go for it!

{Ed003's Note - It would go into the football club's account.}

With Adobe being sold, this suggests a takeover to be some way off.

10 Jan 2016 20:58:15
When we play Cardiff who will be up front or will we play 4.6.0 with all our wingers because there's only Bright who hasn't been picked for ages and rvlp who would love the job but totally untested.

10 Jan 2016 22:04:46
unfortunately RVLP has everything but end product, he can beat a player no problem but can't cross or shoot, similar to Adam hammil very frustrating.

10 Jan 2016 20:36:35
Wolves will try to sign Peter Crouch from Stoke on loan this week and up will up there final bid To a take it or leave it £750 Mill offer for Walsall forward Bradshaw, bids for Bolton Players are also On the table.

10 Jan 2016 20:59:38
750 million for a league 1 player? Jesus! U mean 750K?

10 Jan 2016 21:13:44
Whoa he MUST be good - 750 mill 🙈

{Ed003's Note - haha.}

10 Jan 2016 21:47:39
Oops you know what 750 I meant lol.

Afobe, while he has been a good striker, never in my opinion has hit the heights of other strikers we've lost in past. Will he be a success in Prem, I'm not sure. I like Eddie Howe but think 10mill (if this is the figure) is at least double his worth and he's got this all wrong. As many of you have mentioned Washington and Bradshaw have been netting in League 1, this only where Afobe was picked up from. Where I accept experience is key in between the sticks, at the heart of the defence and in centre of midfield, I think the unknown element of a striker is sometimes worth the punt.

For me, we should be targeting:

1. Washington of Posh replacement for Afobe
2. Williamson of Newcastle replacement for Bathh (controversial I know but would improve us immensely and would be perfect partner for Hause or Iorfa in central position)
3. A left footed LB to replace Golbourne - Deslandes will do as back up. Adam Smith of Liverpool would be perfect on loan till end of season. Doubt Liverpool will trust us with one of their promising youngsters after Ojo.

Think the fact we are hunting out an RB means Iorfa's days could be numbered.

If all is well.

Doc Iorfa Williamson Smith

McDonald Coady

Thought I'd try and throw in a little bit of optimism into what has been a pretty worrying week. I'll admit after Afobe left I was looking at what on earth we were going to do. I even began worrying that we were headed back for League 1. If we're not careful, then that will become a reality. But I thought I'd reflect instead on when we were last promoted.

Look at the team Mick got us up with; Kightly, Jarvis, Iwelumo, Hennessey, Ward, Keogh, Foley, Stearman. the list goes on and on. None of these guys were purchased from Premier League teams (not then at least) . Even Ebanks-Blake was brought in from United's reserves (like Afobe from Arsenal) . They were in fact spotted in the deepest depths of the football league and beyond. Yes, Mick did a terrific job in moulding us into a formidable team. But Kenny has a lot of experience in the lower leagues. People forget that he was the one who set Swansea's Revolution into gear.

Even look at his first season with us. Dicko - a squad player at Wigan. McDonald - Sheffield United, Golbourne - Barnsley, Jacobs and Henry from Northampton and Millwall respectively. I don't think it's time to panic yet. We're giving ourselves a major uphill battle. Yet as history shows us, it can be successful. Bloody frustrating and disillusioning but strangely enjoyable.

There's plenty of guys in the lower leagues who could do a job for us. Kemar Roofe scored twice today against a Premier League team. Bradley Dack at Gillingham is also a guy with huge promise.

Out of darkness cometh light.

Safe to say we are all gutted about Afobe leaving but respect to him explaining the reasons, now comes the task of finding someone to replace him, there are many options we have heard around such as Conor Washington, Zach Clough and Tom Bradshaw, unfortunately 2 of these are only league 1 experienced and Clough is still young to rely on, I personally would like us to go for targets like Frazier Campbell, Jonathan Kodjia, Igor Vetokele or even Steven Fletcher? We should be looking at experienced talent who we know can score in this league, let's hope we hear something in the next couple days, as soon as I do, I will try and share it, I do understand no medical was done the other day but it could be this week and I believe it is Mike Williamson, I trust Morgan will pass along some funds to Kenny Jackett for at least one new striker.

On to the future, let's show that we can still progress without the likes of Afobe and Sako! And let's keep the faith and continue our support for this fantastic football team that we all love! Come on the Wolves!

10 Jan 2016 19:12:41
Steve Sidwell is being let out on loan from Stoke maybe we could get him to add experience to our midfield?

10 Jan 2016 18:28:43
Sako, Afobe, Ojo its tragic you know wolves have let them all go.

10 Jan 2016 16:46:16
Hey Fans let's just put the Afobe situation in a little more pespective I am sad to see him go yes but its nothing new remember the circumstances of K. Miller, Fletcher, Griffiths and now Afobe we just cannot hold on to good strikers personally I would put Afobe behind the other 3 and I think he will be on the move from Bournemouth in 12 months particularly if as expected they start to fall down the leagues again,

10 Jan 2016 18:05:12
Just hope we have a good sell on clause.

10 Jan 2016 16:05:48
As the summer 2015 transfer window drew to a close, he was the subject of interest from newly-promoted Premier League club Norwich City, who reportedly entered a series of bids. In response, Wolves issued a statement to say that "neither Benik nor any of Wolves' first team forward players, will be sold this season".

10 Jan 2016 17:45:02
But that was before Mr Morgan gave up the building business and entered the demolition business instead!

10 Jan 2016 16:04:17
My chinese sauce has conjured a bit of info, vidar orn kjartannson on loan, banged in a shed load of goals in norway before moving to china, icelandic so siggy might have a new mucka :) another club in turkey also interested :)

10 Jan 2016 16:29:39
I've heard this too siggy got 25 goals in something like 76 games where as kjartannson scored 31 in 33. Could be deadly upfront together.

10 Jan 2016 17:38:29
It's only rumour but would be good signing.

10 Jan 2016 15:50:17
This will be the information coming out of wolves to penny pinch every penny of the Adobe money.
1. 25% sell on payable to Arsenal
2. Agents and signing on fees 1mil
3. Wages for 3 year contracts 2 to 3 mil
Which will probably leave around 4 mil for players unless Mr Morgan wants his % so don't be surprised for there to be no more than 2 mil to be made available, hope I'm wrong but have heard it all before!

{Ed001's Note - there are more fees than that to come out of a transfer fee, plus taxes etc. It really isn't worth trying to get into it, but there are so many more things involved than fans see and clubs very rarely get the huge sums imagined.}

10 Jan 2016 14:55:58
Wouldn't it be funny if Afobe failed his medical then moxey and Morgan lose that 10m they wernt going to put back into the club :)

10 Jan 2016 14:29:30
I have a feeling that we already have a replacement at the club. get ready for Le Fondre to sign a permanant deal at a cut down price.

10 Jan 2016 14:44:18
Oh no please - he's like Frankowski in disguise!

10 Jan 2016 15:35:42
Living off the reputation from readings prem days.

10 Jan 2016 12:44:18
Not bothered about Afobe going, just another badge kisser with no loyalty. When he signed he was so grateful for someone giving him a home yet six months later he wanted to go to Norwich, hence why he hasn't been interested this season. As others have said no work rate. If he is worth 10/ 12 million then Dicko 15 million. My only hope is that we do replace him with 2 strikers and a centre half. Don't need another left back what about Deslandes? Gutted for Siggy as he could have taken his chance and filled one striker position. To all those moaning about 451 we played it with Dicko superbly because of his work rate, Afobe couldn't do it. I would like to have seen Siggy or Zyro behind Alf as their physical presence and hold up play and aerial threat would compliment him but with Siggy out we do need someone else in. Think Nakhi Wells would do a great job as similar to Dicko, Remember the last two January windows KJ has brought in Dicko and Afobe from league one so there are players in that league who can cut it. If that's Connor Washington, Tom Bradshaw or whoever then let's get behind them rather than writing them off before we have even signed anyone. COYW.

10 Jan 2016 12:37:42
I know we've been linked with agbonlahor but kj denied but know all of sudden were 4/ 1 favourites to sign normally when the bookies do that know something like with Afobe and Bournemouth.

{Ed001's Note - a few years back the bookies made Liverpool favourites to sign Frank Ribery, before that Sergio Aguero, yet neither ever happened. It just means someone has put money on it, not that it is necessarily about to happen.}

10 Jan 2016 11:56:59

10 Jan 2016 12:07:31
Would prefer to chant 'where's the money going? '

10 Jan 2016 00:03:50
