Looking ahead to the near future (i. e. next Saturday game against Liverpool) I see that L'Pool have a match against S'ton a couple of days before, and again on the 1st Feb against Chelsea. Maybe they will try their second string against us. Fingers crossed on that. I reckon we could get a good result if they did.

Like I said earlier for the umpteenth time. We need a couple of good quality strikers who have a track record of striking in the championship and will do it in the prem. I know we were down to 10, but as a priority we need those strikers. Ours don't have a clue and haven't scored for so long I've forgotten the last time they did. Well mason scored last week but before that? 😉

Seems to have been quite a long time since we have seen Bod and Dicko at the start of the game. I wonder why? Surely that should be our strongest partnership up front.

He prefers Bod with Mason and Dicko with Bright but Bod would do well in the 10 role and would probably score more easily!

I believe at some point, all of us supporters have complained about every player that we have - some more than others. And in truth, they deserved it. Yet somehow these last three games all of the same players have played well.
Lambeth has surprised us with some choices, and I'm sure most of us said WTF? before the game. Yet he has come up trumps! I will be first in line to say - he knows a lot more than all of us put together.
So instead of criticising (invariably AFTER the game) let us support the team - especially if they go behind. and not booing individuals or the whole team. That is when they need our support the most.

I sincerely hope WZ doesn't read all these opinions from our so called fans. We would really confuse him! First couple of games he played 10 players from last year's team - and we complained. Then he changed most of the team as most of us wanted. The results were not too good, so we complained about the rotation of players. I can see us winning 1-0 and we would complain it's not 3-0!. For heaven's sake, we all agreed that this year is a work in progress and the big push is on next year, yet here we are asking for the man's head on a plate - after only 7 games out of 46. Give the man a chance.

Everybody deserves a chance Vicsmith, but let's not forget it's a result winning business at the end of the day, and at the moment it's not happening, for your team to get booed says it all there's no getting away from the fact that we have been awful last 3 games against teams in my opinion you have to beat to get into play offs, no excuses it's down to Zenga,4-0 at home is unexceptable, the new owners state that they want to get into premier with the money they are spending, so to me that means one thing a big improvement is needed, although Zenga seams a nice guy he will be gone, we all ran Jackette down because he got a bit boring with is style of football, but I say one thing he would of not lost 4-0 to Barnsley at home, needs to get is best 11 out there and get them settled quickly, according to Thelwell, Zenga wanted these sighnings so let's see what they can do.

There are players we still have not seen who are supposedly very good (Saiss and Silvio) . Bad results happen to all teams (ask Barcelona - they lost at home this week) . Consistency is what counts. Surely once he DOES find the right formula then we should be on the way.

Re Balotelli going to Lazio, I have searched via google and there are a few sites stating he was offered to Lazio and Besiktas back in May. Besiktas did not want him and Lazio would only consider him if Liverpool paid some of his wages (which are supposed to be in around 6M a year) . There is still nothing official on the Lazio web page.

A manager that has been sacked means nothing. Haven't all (or at least most) been sacked one time or another. The only ones that haven't are obviously inexperienced. I quite like the idea to see how Rob Edwards performs. There is no one out there that knows the players better than him. If he can pump them up to play two decent halves, then we are nearly there.

Saiss and Coady have played at CB. So what abt a back 4 of Docherty, Coady, Saiss and CBJ? We have enough flair in midfield to play any formation, and a couple of decent attackers too. It seems only Ikeme is needed from last year, the rest are very replaceable.

Loan players are the best strategy at the moment. let's build a team to get us promoted. Chances are we would need much better quality players once we are in PL. Then we can go berserk on a good spending spree. Also good players are more likely to want to play for us once we are PL.

Might be worthwhile trying Saiss at CB with Iorfa and bringing in Coady or Price in CM.

Seeing that this site is not just rumours but also wishful thinking - Harry Maguire seems keen to leave Hull. Sounds like a decent defender and wanted by some PL clubs. Any thoughts?
