Dicko, and others, have said pre season training has been better this year because its all been done " with the ball ". Its a no brainer really, is it? When you were a kid you improved your skills by practising WITH THE BALL! ( preferably a tennis ball) . God knows what some modern coaches think is a good way to improve players! Back to basics Nuno. Got a good feeling about this.

Couldn't agree more. The game obviously revolves around the ball. Positional play and all that. Do your job in your zone. Keep your your eye on the ball and the players around you. Focus. And hopefully NES has installed some patience into our game. As you said sillyrocket. Got a good feeling.

Obviously I hope we do well this season but I have concerns about us playing this 3-4-3 system in the Championship, great when we play it in friendlies or training ground etc but I don't like all this fancy stuff and worried that good championship sides will rip us to bits with just 3 at the back. I think the manager needs to play a simple 4-4-2 and stop interfering with things.

With respect Dave Stourbridge Nuno is not planning on taking over from where the likes of Mad Mick, Jackett and Lambert left off! Nuno has his own clear vision of how he wants us to play and the system we are going to use, if he is interfering it's because he needed to as he wants to get us promoted, he has not came from Portugal to set up as 4-4-2 every Saturday and hope we don't loose like the management philosophy in recent years has been!
{Ed047's Note - I think Wolves will do well this season, and as i said before if they buy the right players and are lucky with injuries etc than the minimum aim should be the play offs, id love to see them back in the top flight as the owners are different from before and have ££££££.}

Its not rocket science is it? Put it this way, do you think The Beatles turned up at Abbey Rd without their guitars and drums and ran around a load of bollards all day? . You need to use the tools of your trade. Footballers - ball! Not complicated is it? . Too many arty farty coaches with "trendy" ideas of how to train athletes!

Looks like Hull could be going down, suprisingly. They were a bit unlucky today. Could be good news for us. We should do everything possible to get Marco Silva in at Wolves. Shouldve happened before Zenga. And anyone who seriously believes re-signing Wayne Hennessy is a good idea needs a check up from the neck Up! Watch how many goals conceded he's culpable for this season, he's main reason why Palace are still in trouble. He was same at Wolves. Not even League one standard!

Actually I think it was when Zenga was sacked that Allardyce was touted for the job. He couldn't wait to make it clear he'd rather lie in a bath of acid. We have enough problems without employing an hypocrite like him!

22 goals in 43 games for us. 10 in 26 in what was supposed to be a poor season in Premiership! How the hell can anyone knock that? Him, Costa and Caveliero would eat most Championship defences for breakfast!
