Taking a different slant on yesterdays result and the comments made by THE SUN newspaper (the same paper that tried to destroy the characters on the Liverpool fans involved in the Hillsborough Disaster ), My opinion.
So the ref decided it was a goal. Yes maybe VAR would have not given the goal.
Take that goal away and we would have lost 1-0. That result to the supposed best team on the planet (not my opinion )
I would have taken that result and the performance .
Onwards and upwards.

Why would we have lost 1-0? The game would have been completely different as it would have restarted with a free kick in the 6 yard box. City would not have been forced to chase the game and, you never know, we might have gone on to win.

Correct Old Wulf. How could you possibly say we would have lost one nil! Game would have been completely ( or slightly ) different. Their goal wouldn't have existed the way it did because whatever happened after the "disallowed" goal would have changed the universe in a way we will never know, ever so slightly. Might have won or lost 3 nil, or probably somewhere in between.

going back to the Sun report, well you could call it that but I don't think the game was actually mentioned, just talk about Guardiola. they actually said he was offside and meant to use his hand, did they watch it? the ball just hit his hand, his arm then flopped about, if he meant to punch it his arm would have been rigid. in my opinion he missed the header and it HIT his hand, not the other way round. I know it shouldn't have stood but it was never a foul on Stirling for their goal. swings and roundabouts.

The EFL have now released a statement confirming plans to meet with Wolves in order to reiterate the rules with regard to third-party ownership.
It is understood the league previously looked into Mendes' involvement at the club following Fosun's takeover in July 2016.

Aboubaker is available on a free next summer. As 1877 st lukes points out, the Champions League may prove too big a life for him to leave Porto. We should agree a deal in principle ready for next season. In relation to this season, we should look to someone like Danny Ings on loan as he still has a future at Liverpool but the offer of regular 1st team football may entice him to the Mol. By the time he leaves, we'll be promoted and have Aboubaker ready to join us.

From what I'm reading about RJ, our new Mexican, it seems like he's a regular sub at Porto as he has trouble performing for 90 Mins. So an impact player! Don't we need a out and out goal scoring machine who can do the business week in week out for 90 Mins.? Nuno knows him from his time at Porto so we have to trust in his knowledge/ experience. Just glad he's on loan, try before you buy? I'm sure we will see a better striker coming our way before the season starts. Fingers crossed RJ does the business though. :-)
It's just what I'm reading about him makes me wary. Here's hoping.

Agree that the report gives conflicting views on him so I suppose we have no option but to believe in Nunos judgement. He's done great so far.

Just a thought on the Rumour pages .
They have tried to unsettle us on the pitch " kicking us to bits " has it worked? No .
they have tried to unsettle us with the "British Winter" and they'll fall apart on a wet winters night. Brentford game springs to mind .

Put it this way, if man city, or any top team world wide wanted to sign let's say Ronaldo , who would the go to . Mr Mendes he's a top agent and he happens to be associated with our great club .
They can all go and whinge as much as they like, I for 1 don't think that the business we have done is shady its all been done in the open and I don't thing Fosun would be daft enough to do any dodgy stuff as they have said they are here for the long term and to succeed with Wolves, so I say stuff em and let the all eat the sour grapes and when the result is released about this inquiry the will have egg on their faces .
