Felix Bejimo en route. He's leaving Djurgarden and coming to Wolves.

So that’s two right backs being signed? Why?

2.) 06 Jun 2018 18:47:38
He's 20 years old.

Linked with William Carvalho. Sporting Lisbon holding mid. Bags of experience, always linked to top teams. Good passer of the ball great defensively and most importantly doesn't dive into tackled. Uses his head well. Would be a really big statement if this happened early doors.

1.) 11 Apr 2018 16:11:55
Weren't we linked with him in January and in the Summer too?

2.) 11 Apr 2018 17:26:57
Would love him! Him and Neves together could dominate a lot of midfields in the prem.

3.) 11 Apr 2018 22:46:47
I’ve been watching wol for 60yrs and neves goal is the best I’ve ever seen awesome what a player.

4.) 12 Apr 2018 09:29:49
Wow. what a goal from neves . keep replaying it and can't believe what I saw. he is special. I think he will stay. as long as we sign a couple more world class players . and who wouldn't want to join the revolution. were going on to better things. back where we belong. good to see bully. on sky. top man.

5.) 12 Apr 2018 18:52:10
Neves might develop in the same way as Ronaldo and Messi - maybe by 25 he will be the best player in the world. He could be the big star of the World Cup in Russia.

10 Jun 2015 00:59:32
We will be making another signing very shortly I believe. A young 18 year old Left back Sylvain Deslandes. A french lad from SM Caen. Plays for the Under-20 side. Opinions?

YungWolf

1.) 10 Jun 2015 12:05:23
Hard to have an opinion at the moment to be honest.

When we signed Torras ,Kieta, Esubio we thought they would be the next best thing but unfortunately none have made the first team for different reasons.

Only time will tell.

2.) 10 Jun 2015 13:04:05
I think Torras has gone and Keita will be off if he hasn't gone already.

The youth policy is a good one. For every Torras there is an Iorfa, Hause, Ebanks-Landell or Evans. We shouldn't get confused between our academy signings and signing players for the first team. I suspect only one in three or four will reach stardom. Opinion? So long as the youth scouting networks brings us Iorfa and Hause, bring it on.

3.) 10 Jun 2015 14:27:20
Not saying anything about our policy of signing Young players for the program ie Graham, Reid, Hause look great prospects, just hard to have an opinion on the foreign kids as its harder for them to settle.

4.) 10 Jun 2015 16:45:37
Opinions on Graham making appearances next season? Seems to have put a shift in. Wouldn't mind a decent cup run (3-4 rounds) to see the youth get some proper games

5.) 10 Jun 2015 17:52:42
Next seasons all about getting top 6minimum, it's all about getting a first team squad that can achieve that!

6.) 10 Jun 2015 18:12:41
difference between the youngsters mentioned is that those who have been reletively successful have come through the english system whereas the foreign boys are the ones who have done nothing.

7.) 10 Jun 2015 19:01:02
I couldn't agree more Paul. Also I'll be pretty annoyed if we do sell Dicko, it will prove that Morgan/Moxey are after money and not success. If we keep him and gain promotion next year then the chances are that he'll sign a new contract anyway. Please let us see some real investment into the current 11, it's all well and good getting the youth in but very few ever really make it. We should be concentrating on next season, not 5 years time.

8.) 10 Jun 2015 20:15:34
Agreed Golden Boy, because if were not in the Prem, any of the academy lads who are any good will be snapped up by the big boys! As u said we need proper investment now to get to the Prem and then we've got more chance of keepin any future stars.

9.) 11 Jun 2015 12:03:49
Silverbug have said there will so exciting news Tmoz at 11am
Could be new away kit or a new signing

While ik excited about some of the players we are linked with I can't help but feel, while it is all good signing them, we would be no match for ANY premier league team next season if we got promoted. Personally, I would like to see us sign this Ajax lad and Williamson etc and consolidate this season with some solid performances. Best chance for us in the future is to perform consistently and get a new owner that is happy to give money to the club. Surely only then do we stand a chance of actually hanging on in the premier league (such as Watford and Norwich) . They are all spending ridiculous sums of money on players now, such as they did whilst in the championship. Frankly, regardless of who we buy now it won't make a difference. We need to finish top half and spend in the summer and put together a new squad. The return of Graham and Nouha with zyro and a couple more class signings next year would give us a solid foundation for promotion and to stay in the league.

1.) 19 Jan 2016 08:53:25
If we don't have the cash, we shouldn't spend it. Look at Bolton who like most relegated teams try and hang on to their Premier players for too long. (Like we did) . I don't know how Norwich, Watford and Bournemouth are funded. Boro and Derby seem to have money to spend too and are playing well enough to get promoted. You are right, we're not in that league. If by some good fortune we do go up, how many players would we say are Premier standard? Less than 5? So we'll need to spend big to stay up.

I'll name them: McDonald and Iorfa for sure. Dicko probably, and Ikeme. Van la Parra given the right formation, possibly Zyro although let's wait and see. After that Edwards, Henry, Batth, Golbourne, Hause, Price, Coady, Byrne, Graham, Siggy all excellent or at least good enough at this level but would they get in to a Premier team?

2.) 19 Jan 2016 11:36:31
If we haven't got the money don't spendit? Playing well enough to get promoted? My friend you are not watching Wolves that's for sure!
We are basically a very poor side employing poor tactics, we will be no where near there play offs. The performances this season have been relegation standard.
As for spending too much money that beggars belief. When have you known us do that with Morgan and Moxey? There is all this talk yet again about bringing in loads of players and we will be lucky if we see 2 come in that will be as good as it gets under this regime.

3.) 19 Jan 2016 13:27:59
DW - I didn't say we're playing well enough to get promoted, because we're not. Derby (you local team? ) and Boro are playing better than us just like they did last season and the season before that and the season before that.

And how do we know how much money there is? We all know Wolves' way. Doesn't matter how much money there is, it's cutting a good deal that matters more. We won't spend £5m on a player unless they think we can sell him for £10m next year.

Anyone thinking Graham might solve our issue with the LM role? In terms of depth in that position? Perhaps a bit presumptuous but Bright is looking very tasty too? Maybe 17 is a bit young but off the bench he could have a go in the side?

Of course we aren't far through the transfer window yet, though is anyone else become somewhat concerned by the players we've been linked to heavily? I've seen journalists praise the 33 year old Hangeland and the young, and quite frankly anonymous, Wallace of Burnley. While I don't doubt players like Hangeland or Taylor are fit for Championship football I'm less convinced about how they would fare in the Prem a season on with a weaker team around them? Personally I wokldwas very impressed with Derby's loan signings last year as Bent, Ince, Moore and Lingaard would have created a good base to build on had they gone in to the premier league under the assumption that these lads would have been signed to a permanent contract. Of course Derby didn't go up but signings like that were a step in the right direction. It's the classic case of Wolves unwillingness to spend money. The signings of Ameobi, Gayle, Osman and Leadbitter are what we should be aiming for. Of course, it could be argued that players like Ameobi haven't proved them selves in that league, though Dicko wasn't nearly as good as he is now, the point being that Wolves are very much capable of developing these young players. I'm concerned as to whether we'll only end up with a mildly better team than we did last year. Would love to see some of these signings wrapped up soon. Opinions?

The Summer Transfer window officially opens on 1st July. Although there will be a lot of activity before then, buying players who are in contract will not happen until that date. Of course, the way Wolves work, we are not likely to find out if any of the press speculation is anywhere near accurate until then at least. It's always a bit like waiting to open your Christmas presents I find.

Question of the day. Hause or Scotty?

YungWolf

1.) Golbourne offers far more going forward.

2.) Scotty by a mile! Couldn't work out why Dicko didn't start with Benike? It's Charlton at home not Chelsea! Then he subbed Henry to make way for him, surely price or Edwards should of been subbed then the balance would still of been right. Two points lost today because of Jacketts selection and tactics.

3.) Apparently Jackett has been told not to over work Dicko because he is not yet 100% fit. Now he has Afobe he can rest Dicko if necessary. Agree with weird sub decisions.

4.) 25 Jan 2015 10:31:00
Subbing two full backs was strange. Yes Edwards not Henry for Dicko makes sense to me too unless he thought Dave had a goal in him. Price could have come off but Edwards would need to drop back so not much point.

I see Sako scored against Ivory Coast.

5.) Paul I agree with you for once, my concern at the moment is when Afobe is on the pitch no-one seems to know where Dicko is playing. If they both play then has to be 442 with two wide men. Yesterday was a bad day when no-one played well but it was still a clean sheet and another point. Give credit to Charlton they played well and frustrated us but we simply ran out of ideas. We are in the mix for the play offs and maybe even top two with a good run but we need another signing or two to freshen things up. Definitely prefer Scotty at left back as an extra option going forward but Hause hasn't done a lot wrong to be fair.

6.) At home 4.4.2 this league is mediocre end of!

7.) The sooner we get out this league the better and we don't look like a side that will on our home performances just lately sorry to be a spoil sport but just telling it how it is, didn't get close to scoring all match and we only played Charlton absolute rubbish miles away from premier league

8.) Can't get over Saturdays game two average sides, only one up front at home anybody would think we were playing chelsea waste of money

9.) If k.j. as been told not to over work dicho why have we not brought another striker in, does not make any sense to me, we are desperate for a good striker who can get shots on target and test the goalkeeper because we are not going anywhere until it is sorted Saturday was proof of that, our goals for prove that this season we have not scored enough if its through creativity in midfield or our so called strikers I don't now but these 2 areas need sorting

Surely Bogdan and Faupala or Ambrose (one of City's younger strikers) no? Presumably to play second fiddle to a bigger striker we'll be signing before the window closes.

I originally thought this was rubbish but then when you consider the like of Chelsea's squad is it really that hard to believe? Tammy is absolute class to us, a championship team but Chelsea have hordes of young talent in many different leagues that one would imagine are perhaps better than Tammy? Chelsea have gotten into a habit of playing players they intend to keep (Chalobah, Loftus Cheek etc) . So I wouldn't be suprised if they wanted to sell. Not to mention any sum under £30 mil is peanuts to Chelsea so I could see him going for a fee of around 4-6 mil.

Also, I'm not sure prem clubs are after him? Perhaps those getting promoted but even then would they take the risk? There is so much money in the prem and every club can afford premier league standard players (Southampton - Gabiadini, Boro - Negrado etc) . I don't think prem teams would risk prioritising a teenage striker who has had one good season in the Championship, especially when you consider good Championship strikers who haven't cut it (Jerome, Bamford, Rhodes, Guestede, Abel Hernandez - the list is much longer than that of those who have done well)

In short then, I think Wolves have every chance of signing Abraham if this rumour bears truth and we could certainly outspend other Champo teams.

{Ed002's Note - Four clubs have spoken with Chelsea abiout the kid but it does not include Wolves. Chelsea are not looking to sell him and another loan is likely whilst he builds experience.}

Evening fellas.

Agree that we need a clear out with all the deadwood. Four seasons of no real notable success, still the same sort of players. Don't think its a 'losing mentality' thing but it's become clear that Ba'ath, Sav, Evans, even Price don't have what it takes. Can't rely on them to be our big players.

That said, think Wolves know what they're doing with signings now, Weiman and Marshall have been superb additions. Would be a shame to see Costa go too especially if Graham has a Dicko esque fall from grace. Think Cav is the man though next season. Not to mention that a rejuvenated Ebanks-Landell is coming back, would love to see him get some game time, still young and has a lot to offer I think. Plus, Oniangue to come back and perform like he's supposed to (3 goals on 7 in Ligue 1). Think it was a brash decision loning him, showed some good signs at Wolves.

UTW.

I feel there's a few people who don't quite understand that there are 1000 millions in one billion. Regardless of how much he's actually worth he is monumentally wealthier than Morgan. While we do fave the possibility of becoming a faceless club that really is modern football, that's what it takes to be a big club. At some point along the line that's the step up a club needs to make if it is to be ambitious. New money clubs aren't really feeders so much now (Middlesborough, Bournemouth, Watford etc) . Buyers are very well aware that with time one can achieve high finishes with their club (Leicester, Watford) .
