As much as I love our Portuguese players for what they have done for our club, would anyone else like us to sign some English players?
With MGW out we will need some quality home grown talent to be in the squad it just seems our scouting network is anywhere but home.

Been a season ticket holder for 15 years and got to say Ruben neves is probably the best I’ve seen. The likes of cav, Costa, Jota are all class but I would still like to see us buy some English talent. I don’t like the likes of arsenal and other teams that field a team with no English players and if Coady gets injured it’s looks like that will be case. Obviously success comes 1st and last season was the best and most enjoyable I’ve seen so not moaning just giving my view.

Got to agree about the need for some English players. Does anyone know how many we need to have in a match day squad? If Dion goes out on loan again I can only think of Coady and ruddy who would qualify?

Afobe rents a house half a mile from me in cannock and is still in it as he was last year when he was at wolves. So hasn’t not had to move. Agree that he has had a taste of his own medicine on how he treated us but would not want it to affect the team morale as it could along with the Douglas sale.
However I feel with lack of signing in the striker department feel Afobe would be better impact option from the bench than Bonatini but I’m not Nuno.
Anothe CB, CM, wing back and striker for me and preferably some English talent or PL experience.

Would love Welbeck if we could get him. These Portuguese are all great but still think we need more English players as it looks like if Coady gets injured we would field a team with no English players.
