If u look at the signings we made all except Raul played for us last season, that means that we haven't actually really improved the squad.

And Rui. A world-class goalkeeper and striker is a good start considering many of the best players are away at the World Cup and it is only 2nd July.

2.) 02 Jul 2018 13:51:21
Wonder if this will be our team for Everton

Patricio

Boly Coady Hause

Doc Neves (New) Douglas

Costa Jota Cav

Meaning one new addition in CM to improve the first team?

3.) 02 Jul 2018 14:30:52
That will not be our team. Guaranteed.

4.) 02 Jul 2018 14:57:43
boly played all season out on left now right lol. hause was all full. bennett allday if no one in.

5.) 02 Jul 2018 16:46:26
Hause behave.

6.) 02 Jul 2018 20:25:53
After watching roman saiss against Spain last week I think he would do a job for us in Defense.

7.) 02 Jul 2018 20:49:15
“There’s no way that would b our team I still thinks thinker will make another 5 signings.

8.) 02 Jul 2018 22:24:47
Still to come I think - and hope - centre back, central defensive midfielder and striker (starting XI) plus right wing back, central attacking midfielder and wide attacker (squad) .

That’ll do for me with a starting line up of;

Patricio
New Coady Boly
Doherty New Neves Douglas
Costa New Jota

Subs; Ruddy, Bennett, Sais, new, Cavaleiro, Jiménez, new

OODCL.

9.) 04 Jul 2018 17:01:12
Batth will start in back three instead of Bennett v. Everton and will be in the first England squad after winning World Cup Final 2-1 v. Uruguay in Moscow.

10.) 04 Jul 2018 23:15:49
Joking apart if Coady continues his impressive play in the premiership then he surely will be knocking on Sir Gareths door 😉😂.

Hi, guys, I'm from south Africa just wanted to know they don't have like a midlands cup for pre season, there are so many teams to have a good pre season, has it ever happen in the past and do u think it will be good for the region.

Hi Peter,
It would be a good idea and many team still play each other as pre-season friendlies. Such as wolves playing stoke and Derby this summers The issue is that it would be difficult to police these games and they are known to get physical. Therefore the clubs don’t benefit from the games really in terms of reputation nor football conditioning wise.
But there are clubs that have a positive relationship such as Walsall are friends with pretty much every club other than wolves. Blues like WBA. Villa are hated by everyone apart from Walsall. And wolves historically have been disposed by everyone apart from villa until this season. Although Keane scoring a Garrick at the Molineux was frustrating as well.
All the best mate.

I am coloured south African wolves fan and I'm proud to say it, our club has been through a lot the past 20 years we have seen promotion and relegations and I believe as the club is going to grow the city will follow and we will become more attractive for foreign players. I just hope that I will be able to afford to go to Wolverhampton to watch them play one day at this moment that is my wish before I leave this earth. Wolves forever, hope to be "Dancing with Wolves" oneday.

hi peter I sincerely hope you get the chance to come and spend a day at the molineux and enjoy a few drinks up the town with the lads.

2.) 02 Aug 2018 15:42:38
What team do you follow in SA Peter? Everyone I met when I went there seemed to support Orlando Pirates.

3.) 02 Aug 2018 15:50:11
Peter, your colour or nationality don't come into it. Are you based in South Africa?

4.) 02 Aug 2018 16:27:03
Peter, you are now an affiliated member of the WolfPack. 😀🐺🐺🐺

Welcome. WolvesAyWe.

Rui Patricio might disagree with you.

2.) 02 Jul 2018 06:45:57
I was only talking about the out field players, I agree Patricio is an excellent signing.

3.) 02 Jul 2018 07:33:06
Maybe Nuno is showing faith with the squad that achieved so much last season. Maybe he feels that it only needs tweaking rather than the major overhaul so are suggesting.

4.) 02 Jul 2018 08:04:25
At least the squad is effectively where it was at the end of last season (swapping Jimenez for Afobe), with the exception of a central midfielder (N'Diaye) so we have a good base to kick on. I think we would all agree that the squad from last season would compete in the Prem, so it was important to sign the loan players who Nuno thought were worthy to keep the status quo and allow us to compete.

Let's now see what Nuno and the hierarchy can pull out the bag to improve the squad. We all want marquee signings but they have to want to come and be value for money - Fosun are still a business and won't spend just for the sake of it. I personally wouldn't be surprised if we turn our backs on some of the rumoured players on the back of the World Cup and look elsewhere because of the ridiculous fees being bandied about.

But, as we all say, in Nuno we trust!

5.) 02 Jul 2018 08:26:07
I think the nucleus of the side will remain the same. Nuno is looking to get rid of the players who are not part of his plans ie: Iorfa, Zyro, Gladon etc.

6.) 02 Jul 2018 12:27:31
Wolves are trying to sign anyone good enough to improve the team. There will be no sentiment involved.

7.) 02 Jul 2018 14:51:50
So who's going to leave for any new players to come in considering the vast majority of players signed last season and this summer are on long term contracts. Unless other clubs pay the money to compensate the remaining 2, 3 and 4 years left, they'll remain at the club.

{Ed002's Note - There will be more players leave, some being sold but Wolves may have to go down the road of loaning players out to address the FFP issues related to wages.}

8.) 02 Jul 2018 15:27:55
The players sold will be the likes of Zyro, Gladon etc. Can't see many of last season's match day squad being moved on. Nuno will add to it to ensure strength in depth.

Peter22, they don’t have a midlands cup because it would end up called the Midlands punch up and like a wwe royal rumble.

2.) 02 Jul 2018 09:55:07
It would really be nice for the bragging rights.
