Any one got a half accurate roumers on a striker. I would have thought that would of been our primary objective. I would have thought we had more ambition than the current two we've signed. someone like Iago Aspas?

One_Life_One_Wolves

{Ed001's Note - Iago Aspas would not have any interest in moving to Wolves. He never wanted to leave Spain to go to Liverpool, but was persuaded to by the club being desperate for funds. Now he is happy playing for the club he supports with them no longer needing to sell him to survive, why would he leave to go back to a country he was unable to settle in?}

1.) 08 Jul 2018 17:07:34
I don't think they will bring in another forward. Now they have signed Leo and then Mexican.

2.) 08 Jul 2018 17:31:06
I think it depends who’s available as it’s seems we need someone with a bit more pace as Jimenez and bonatini seem very similar to me.

3.) 08 Jul 2018 17:44:25
Ed was merely using Aspas as and example. the two we've signed are too alike and are not going to get behind the defence. Need a striker with pace. I wouldn't mind Andre Gray - Local lad. with some re experience was good before got injured feel just needs a run of games. Use also be tempted to bring in crouch as an impact sub.

{Ed001's Note - ok mate.}

4.) 08 Jul 2018 17:52:25
One life you’re knocking them before they’ve even kicked a ball in the premier! How much more pace do you want with cav, Jota costa?!
They’re to link up play not smash it route one and hope for them to get on the end of it!
Nuno knows.

5.) 08 Jul 2018 18:13:20
Thank you Manc_WOLF! "Nuno knows" is what we all need to remember. He knows what the team needs, wants and is working on recruiting far more than we do. Speculating as to what we get is a bit of fun. Whinging when we, as fans, don't know the full picture isn't fun for anyone.

6.) 08 Jul 2018 18:29:45
Yes it is but they only started I believe 9 games together which in those time they started Jota scored 7 in those 9 while costa and Cav only scored 2 and 1 and against Ipswich none of the scores which tells you a lot really tells you that our chance conversion ratio ain’t that high when they play we scored 20 goals in those games they started which the scored 10 and others scored 10 which 7 of this 10 from when jota Cav and costa played together from the start came from Jota which tells you that Cav other 8 goals came when started with and out and striker and jotas other 11 came when he started with an out and out striker which tells you we score more goals with an out and out striker.

7.) 08 Jul 2018 18:39:59
I got slated for saying the same manc Wolf. In fact I got called a baggies fan by some simple minded arm chair fan who thinks he knows more than Nuno. In Nuno I trust.

8.) 08 Jul 2018 19:05:54
You can get away with having a few strikers in the championship but in the Prem you need strength in numbers. if either of them two strikers get injured it leaves us short. All good saying we've got cab Costa Jota. they are all Attacking midfielders. just need a number 9 who knows where the back of the net is as another option.

9.) 08 Jul 2018 19:43:54
Liverpool seem to have done ok without an out and out striker, I know they’re different players but same system. Even Man City didn’t bother at times. If players get injured that’s part of the game maybe an academy youngster will get the chance to shine.
Suppose only time will tell and hopefully the people who wanted them to spend millions on wasters are all proved wrong.

10.) 08 Jul 2018 20:10:28
That's a completely different ball game. As both teams have proven world beaters. Plus Aguero was their top scorer. I can only assume that theirs work for a striker going on behind the scenes. Here's hoping anyways.

11.) 08 Jul 2018 20:23:59
I love to read optimistic posts instead of the negative ones. Last year people was saying we could finish top half with our team now they are saying we won’t stay up. Not even kicked off and there is doubters.

12.) 08 Jul 2018 20:52:44
Pretty sure it’s the same ball game one life ⚽️.

13.) 08 Jul 2018 21:06:36
It’s a shame that fans can’t express a different opinion from you and then are considered negative. I expressed an opinion in relation to the signing of Bonatini, basest on facts. It is only a few weeks ago that both Don Goodman and Stevie Bull were saying that Afobe should be given a chance in the Premier League. I suppose you will call them arm chair supporters as well, because they didn’t agree with Nuno! I have been a Wolves fan for 45 years and have seen more tears than cheers. I love what Nuno has done and am proud to have him as our manager but football is about opinions and how many people on this site were actually saying buy Bonatini before his signing was announced, we all thought they were looking elsewhere! I.

14.) 09 Jul 2018 06:49:18
Negative opinions before a ball is kicked in fact before the plane left for pre season then say you have been a fan for 45 years. In those 45 years it has never been this good so all I’m asking is enjoy the ride I’m scared to think what you think about our national team at the moment I bet it’s not good.

15.) 09 Jul 2018 10:47:46
Rich, heaven help whoever lives with you if they don’t agree with you. I suppose they are negative as well!

Will we buy another striker? Tick. tock tick. tock.

1.) 07 Aug 2018 09:33:14
Pretty sure that ship has well and truly sailed, I would be stunned if we brought in a Striker.

Priority now needs to be shoring up our defense, we have depth but little quality.

Signing Traore, a CB and a RWB are absolute priority and would see me very happy with this transfer window. If we only bring in Traore i'd be happy but concerned about our leaky defense

The only additional attacking signing I can see us makingg is Wu Lei, because he'd be cheap and would bring in a lot of marketing revenue.

2.) 07 Aug 2018 14:44:50
Why do you think they can only do one or the other? They are working on multiple deals at the same time.

18 Jul 2018 15:15:53
What other sites do people use for wolves transfer news other than newsnow?

One_Life_One_Wolves

{Ed002's Note - Newsnow is simply an agregator of news from elsewhere - it doesn't research or generate any news itself.}

1.) 18 Jul 2018 22:10:16
No need to consider any others - they only get regurgitated on here over and over again by people who claim to know a bit!

2.) 19 Jul 2018 13:33:49
I think NewsNow is a robot just picks up stories from hitc and the papers sometimes it's not even Wolves FC which is why I think it's a robot.

{Ed001's Note - it is a news aggregator. It collates links into groupings that is all.}

15 Jul 2018 16:09:17
Where are these Rashford rumours coming from. Don't get me wrong this would be an unbelievable loan signing. However can't see Mourinho loaning him out as they have no back up to Lukaku apart from martial.

One_Life_One_Wolves

1.) 15 Jul 2018 16:26:53
Also, Rashford was used in more games than any other United player.

2.) 15 Jul 2018 19:46:48
Martial might be leaving but I expect Man U to sign another forward I heard they were looking at Perisic but they will want a proper CF.

13 Jul 2018 00:21:56
On a serious note. If wolves didn't sign any more players before the transfer window closes and didn't sell any either, as fans would you be happy?

Would you feel comfortable that we have enough strength in numbers to avoid a relegation battle?

One_Life_One_Wolves

1.) 13 Jul 2018 05:19:37
We haven't got enough quality in the team/ squad.
If things stay as they are now'I can see us struggling this coming season.

2.) 13 Jul 2018 07:31:59
At this moment in time we have IMO a better team than Burnley and a just as good team sprit as they have there for I would be more than happy we could cope if the season started today. Nuno knows what he's doing and who are we to question him and fosun think back just 2 years and we'd of all sold our granny's for what we have now just be patient i'm sure there will be a few more signings before the season starts but if not we'll be ok . IN NUNO WE TRUST.

3.) 13 Jul 2018 07:58:17
At the end of last season everyone said that the squad would easily hold their own in the PL. We've added Patricio and Jimenez but lost N'Diaye. I think we're stronger so yes I'm happy with the squad. In Nuno I trust.

4.) 13 Jul 2018 09:17:09
I'm happy!
Settled squad, great spirit, brilliant football, played most teams off the park last year, brilliant coach, great supporters, AND, we are in THE PREM!
Your responsibility what you sow, and bringing in a while load of mercenary money-saving graders who just want coin and no 'buy-in' never works.
Have faith, believe, and enjoy yourself!

5.) 13 Jul 2018 10:24:50
Yes I would be happy. Why wouldn't I be? We have just had one of the best, if not THE best season I can remember in my years supporting our beloved club. We have, imo, the best manager in our recent history, with a squad who want to wear the shirt and have a great team spirit. The togetherness between club and supporters has never been better. The football has at times been breathtaking and I have sat in awe at times pinching myself at what I am watching. As for some of the goals. wow. We are more than capable of being comfortable in the prem with the squad we finished with, we have already made a couple of quality additions, with I'm sure a couple more to come. I have complete and utter faith in Nuno and the board and have never looked forward to a season as much as I am now. For that I can't thank them enough. Together we are stronger 🐺.

6.) 13 Jul 2018 10:27:43
Whatever happens from now till the end of the transfer window nothing will change my view in that I trust in nuno and fosun. so i'm happy and buzzing for the new season to start.
FWAW.

03 Jul 2018 20:29:16
Any reason why there's no speculation or rumours linking us to a decent striker? Really hope we don't do same as last season. Go with what we've got then get someone in Jan.

One_Life_One_Wolves

1.) 03 Jul 2018 23:28:55
Yes because the Wolves Board is a closed shop and the speculators are clueless. Take a deep breath and have faith in the Wolves professionals to do their work!

Well we certainly won't lack talent in the AMF roles, Cav, Costa, Jota and Martin's. Just need a target man. A CB, LWB DMF and I think that will do it.

Tbf both Rated RKO and Manc Wolf you both need to get off Coven Wolf's back. End of the day he's a fellow wolf. Just because he has a difference of oppinion doesn't give you the right to make your comments personal. if you don't like reading people's oppinion I would suggest unsubscribing to this site. Because I for one would rather read people's difference of oppinion that your pointless personal comments. He also has a valid point in than Bonantini stopped performing after Christmas. Subsequently as a result we had to get Afobe in Jan because clearly Nuno didn't trust him. Jiminez what has he achieved in his professional career for you to feel so confident that he's going to do the job? There's no right or wrong answer but do us all a favour. If you are having a bad day. Take it else where rather than bringing it to a Wolves Forum.

He also plays for Morrocco who are not blessed with talented footballers. Just don't think Saiss is first team premier league. And I felt N'Dyie was actually better than him when he played most of the time.
