Lopetegui just named Spain boss according to A. S.

Mw788

1.) 21 Jul 2016 13:54:44
Yes just announced on Skype Sports.

2.) 21 Jul 2016 13:56:29
This is on Sky Sports News now. Makes you wonder if he was linked to the other interested party?

3.) 21 Jul 2016 13:56:29
Yes seen it on sky sports so who is replacing jackett.

4.) 21 Jul 2016 13:57:41
Lopetegui confirmed as Spain national team boss

who will be new Wolves boss?

or are we stuck with the donkey?

5.) 21 Jul 2016 14:01:09
Bad news. So that spanish football expert was totally wrong. We going to keep jacket now?

6.) 21 Jul 2016 14:05:44
Now it starts to get interesting, looks like management team will be Moxey, Jackett and Thelwell.

7.) 21 Jul 2016 14:06:21
In Birmingham Mail aswell.

8.) 21 Jul 2016 14:06:35
And sky sports.

9.) 21 Jul 2016 14:07:19
That was li pick. There were to parties. We no them both. Who would you have as boss surely can afford the best.

10.) 21 Jul 2016 14:07:38
See what I mean about people posting 'Jackett sacked later today'. The way things are going, we will be giving him a new 5 year contract!

That said, Kenny with ££££ to spend just scares me. He can start with the most obvious one, bring Sako back NOW.

11.) 21 Jul 2016 14:10:57
I think we should ho for McLaren.

12.) 21 Jul 2016 14:16:03
Don't forget that the Spain job could be part time. You will have to check.

13.) 21 Jul 2016 14:16:39
Lopetegui was part of the consortium that DIDN'T buy Wolves.

14.) 21 Jul 2016 14:19:33
Roberto Mancini.

15.) 21 Jul 2016 14:20:04
Pellegrini?

16.) 21 Jul 2016 14:29:31
Break the bank for Eddie Howe.

17.) 21 Jul 2016 14:59:36
YOU'RE RIGHT. Julen Lopetegui confirmed as Spain manager

goo.gl/eylkhK

18.) 21 Jul 2016 14:32:20
Roberto Martinez could work with the Spanish / Portuguese players that have been lined up to move to Wolves (assuming these guys are still coming) and his teams play attractive football.

19.) 21 Jul 2016 14:33:01
I did say last week that Jacket would still be in charge .

20.) 21 Jul 2016 14:36:04
Or rafa banitez.

21.) 21 Jul 2016 14:38:59
I agree with aj. But will see what does the boss of bosses want or already have waiting.

22.) 21 Jul 2016 14:41:05
Jackett's not a donkey, he's a beaver.

23.) 21 Jul 2016 14:49:35
Martinez.

24.) 21 Jul 2016 14:55:44
Confirmed by the club!

25.) 21 Jul 2016 14:57:01
Moxey gone aswell best day ever😆👌😉.

26.) 21 Jul 2016 14:31:25
Please god tell me someone didn't mention McLaren.

27.) 21 jul 2016 14:59:18
moxey is gone confirmed on twitter.

28.) 21 Jul 2016 15:04:58
On WM just, money going aswel, yippee ☺ ☺.

29.) 21 Jul 2016 15:11:11
Andre villas boas? Mendez's mate. Portuguese?

30.) 21 Jul 2016 15:21:03
Moxey is going, statement on wolves website .

Fosun will currently have a football club board consisting of four people. Mr Jeff Shi, who led the negotiations on behalf of Fosun, will become the Club’s representative, alongside him will be Mr Sky Sun. Local businessmen and Wolves fans John Bowater and John Gough will also continue to serve as non-executive board members.

After being heavily involved in the sale of the Club to new owners, Chief Executive, Jez Moxey, has decided now is the right time to step down after 16 years’ of service to Wolves. However, Jez will remain in his role for up to three months to ensure a smooth transition. Wolves have begun the search for a new Chief Executive.

Also stepping down from the Wolves Board will be Ashley Lewis, Bridgemere Group’s Finance Director, who joined the Board when Steve Morgan resigned as Wolves Chairman in 2015.

Jez will be attending a press conference with Jeff Shi, WolvesFosun representative, on Monday, 25th July, 2016.

“We are delighted to have completed the deal to become the new owners of such a famous and historic club as Wolves, ” said Jeff Shi.

“We owe a great debt of gratitude to Steve Morgan for taking such good care of the Club and for placing his trust in us to become the new custodians of Wolves. During our conversations Steve’s great passion and vision for the Club and Wolverhampton was very clear and we feel privileged to pick up the baton from him.

“And also to Jez Moxey for his tremendous contribution to Wolves. We are sad to see him leave, but after 16 years of loyal service we understand why he has chosen this moment as the right time to move on and we wish him well.

“We would also like to thank the hugely loyal and passionate Wolves supporters, and all the Club staff, for their patience whilst our discussions were ongoing. We hope they will be pleased with, and supportive of, our exciting plans for Wolves.

“Football is enjoying a huge growth in China and, of course, is England’s national sport. As part of our strategy, it makes perfect sense to buy a great Football Club.

“Our goal is crystal clear: we will do our very best to help take Wolves back to the Premier League as soon as possible and to stay there. We believe the Club and the fans belong at the top of English football and getting there is our first and top priority.

“However, we will continue to develop and enhance Wolves Academy and to create more and more young talent for the first team and to keep it as one of the very best in football. We also understand the importance of the Club’s role within Wolverhampton and the surrounding communities and that is something we are determined to continue.

“We are fully aware that achieving success for Wolves will not be easy. It will take hard work, resources, determination and togetherness. We will work with everyone who supports Wolves to help create a bright future for this great Club.

“We can’t wait to get started on the exciting times ahead and look forward to a long and ultimately successful ownership of Wolves. ”.

31.) 21 Jul 2016 15:22:58
Whilst i'm pleased obviously, I haven't got that over the moon feeling I would have had with R Li and Lopetigui taking over. All unravelling a bit. At the moment we've got new owners and it appears Moxey has gone, but who's going to be the manager? We keep being told re new signings, but how would anyone sign without knowing who manager is going to be? Style of football etc.?

32.) 21 Jul 2016 16:09:18
In fact its more than unravelling. £20 million to spend over 2 years! That ain't even 2 half decent players let alone the signings we were allegedly linked with. Looks like good old Morgan has stuck the knife in again and made sure we don't progress beyond mediocrity.

14 Jul 2016 22:47:27
Check Twitter Marca reports lopetegui still in running for Spain job as takeover failed to get off the ground.

Mw788

1.) 14 Jul 2016 22:51:37
Have we all been mugged off or is someone else taking over.

2.) 14 Jul 2016 22:55:50
Juschecked marca and doesn't say anywhere hat the takeover is off! Be patient its going to happen.

3.) 14 Jul 2016 22:58:05
Seen it, Mol Mix seem to be panicking by reading it as deal fallen through (although there's so many posts it's hard to keep up, they may be being sensible too :-)

It actually says deal failed to get off the ground, which is an observation to date, no sign of it being direct / original / itk information. It also claims the manager is still a free agent, though his agent is on holiday and again it doesn't seem to be quoting that guy saying he is, just another observation to date. The only inside info in that story appears to be the Spanish still want him, for I bet they'd be glad to stir things up.

But I don't think the Spanish FA have got the money to compete, or the project to attract, because according to that Spanish agents twitter after watching Euro's, he seems to think Spain's National glory days are probably past them as that generation is going out and other Countries have caught up. If he's advising that manager, which is he, Wolves is still the better project.

4.) 14 Jul 2016 22:58:17
If something sounds too good to be true it usually is!

5.) 14 Jul 2016 22:58:39
how do they know this?

6.) 14 Jul 2016 23:01:45
It doesn't mention any takeover at all.

7.) 14 Jul 2016 23:05:21
If this takeover is nothing then I've lost faith and it's back to league one . if it's not true why hasn't moxey came out and said it is not true clear as day . also there's a lot of fake sauces after the amount of fans that have come on hear saying they know Fred who cleans the toilet and deb that makes the tea. there's been a press conference every day this week.

8.) 14 Jul 2016 23:07:14
"Failed to get off the ground" is just a bad translation. What they mean is, it hasn't been as quick as expected.

9.) 14 Jul 2016 23:22:59
It might help if Moxey or Morgan might actually say something instead of keeping everyone in the dark. What the hell are they playing at? It's not rocket science, is it?

10.) 14 Jul 2016 23:24:11
Don't think most on here would be useful in a genuine crisis, it's all RUN FOR THE HILLS, THEY'RE COMING TO GET US every time someone somewhere in the world writes something contradicting the last thing that was made up by whomever didn't know anything and needed to write a piece.
I heard we were getting Sir Alf Ramsey as manager and Stan cullis as his assistant. Let's see how far that one goes.

11.) 14 Jul 2016 23:46:45
Got this off Mol Mix, they were in meltdown :-P but then stopped when someone pointed out that Marca published another article same day as this one (today) , that says in google translate.

Out of several options for Spanish managers job, Lopetegui is desired option. "But Lopetegui is about to sign with Wolverhampton, complicating joining the team".

:-)

12.) 15 Jul 2016 03:02:34
So it says Dave Edwards doesn't know what's going on! that's no surprise we have seen him play! lol
I really think Sir Alf and Stan could get us promoted this season :)
According to my sauce from Worcester this steak will taste nice
ok ok sorry I really think I am starting to lose all sense of reality!
FFS tell us something M&M before we all crack up.

13.) 15 Jul 2016 07:00:31
the deal is not off. I told u I know the couriers who took the documentation up to the fa last week.

14.) 15 Jul 2016 09:13:35
Course the players know what's going on. and jacket does. he is just hanging around for a payoff. I wouldn't pay him in washers. and to the people who think he has done good. u must love crap football.

15.) 15 Jul 2016 10:15:56
You keep saying you know the courier service Demon but haven't once said who they are. You also haven't said where you're getting your information from?

16.) 15 Jul 2016 11:49:36
That courier rumour is as plausible a rumour as I've seen, long time ago I used to manage TNT Sameday offices in Northwest and then North Wales. That is how stuff like this is done, direct sameday courier, the couriers see what's going on from collection and delivery points, from the contact names given, they know how important stuff is by how it's impressed on them, the priority given to them giving time of delivery updates and proof of delivery etc. They can get a good insight. And we used sub contractors (sometimes liveried but sometimes even just taxi's, whatever was available at that moment and was fastest) who are just ordinary people who will pass on rumour.

17.) 14 Jul 2016 23:08:18
Am I right in thinking that season ticket prices have been increased when they became available again today?

I cannot see any justification in this without some serious improvement in all aspects of the club, it just doesn't make any sense if they have been increased for the sale not to of gone / still going through.

12 Jul 2016 18:12:58
Check out telegraph tweet just now moxey to stay!

Mw788

1.) 12 Jul 2016 18:38:16
Mendes, Li and the new coach will be callin the shots so whether Moxey stays or not won't make any difference.

Slagging us and Wolverhampton off basically.

9.) 27 Jul 2016 10:03:27
Got a link?

10.) 27 Jul 2016 10:10:39
What's this internet you talk about
Oh that would be what I am using now on my iPad
I found the mirror on line but not any wolves related article
A link would be much appreciated mate.

11.) 27 Jul 2016 10:42:07
I can't find any link either.

12.) 27 Jul 2016 10:46:59
Bloody ell, an Aussie with a sense of humour, (just kidding matey)
Page 52 bottom left corner, quite a piss take and funny.

Enjoy.

13.) 27 Jul 2016 10:50:07
Mw788 is this insult to the mighty WOLVES and the great people of Wolverhampton from the reporter who is restricted to a minor little column in the mirror. I live 120miles away from wolves and have always found the people of Wolverhampton funny, generous, and respectful. Looks like I will be reading THE SUN from now on, any followers! .

14.) 27 Jul 2016 11:04:31
I don't read red top guff, what does it actually say?

15.) 27 Jul 2016 11:08:26
I'm following Caswolfie ☺.

16.) 27 Jul 2016 11:46:56
Caswolfie.

They are jealous.

We will have the last laugh, treat it with contempt it deserves.

We are the Wolves.

17.) 27 Jul 2016 12:18:34
Let that two bit reporter take the p**s now that talisca is coming, wonder what SUNday league side he supports! NO disrespect to Sunday league players.

18.) 27 Jul 2016 12:19:36
Pearbear good on ya.

19.) 27 Jul 2016 12:21:01
A c, look for a LITTLE reporter named McGovern in the daily mirror.

25 Jul 2016 06:45:37
Think all will be fine re the manager as Bruce in the USA and Martinez to be interviewed for Hull so hardly likely either of them.

Mw788

1.) 25 Jul 2016 08:25:05
So who are you suggesting makes us all fine then?

24 Jul 2016 21:53:50
Surely if we were going to have someone of the quality of what has turned out being the new Spain manager! the new owners who have invested to make money and raise their profile will have a proper plan B.

Mw788

1.) 24 Jul 2016 22:22:48
When he changed his mind within a day of the takeover, they probably didn't have a plan B. Why don't we all have good nights sleep, forget about the what if, and wait for 12.00pm tomorrow. You can all have a bloody big moan then. This site will probably crash.

2.) 24 Jul 2016 22:31:24
With the equivalent abilities and quality?

3.) 25 Jul 2016 06:47:54
When you're in big business as they are you always have to have a plan B.

Probably what the holdup has been.

08 Jul 2016 10:20:50
So much for for our supposed new assistant manager, gone to derby.

Mw788

1.) 08 Jul 2016 10:50:09
Just searched this and nothing reported other than it is still a 2 horse race between Derby and Wolves. Derby have confirmed they have made an approach this morning nothing more than that.

2.) 08 Jul 2016 10:50:44
Not surprised, with so much indecision coming out of Molineux. Today, s the 8th, we have been promised by all and sundry that today is THE DAY. Wait and hope in anticipation.

3.) 08 Jul 2016 11:11:31
Refresh your search mate.

4.) 08 Jul 2016 11:18:00
Until there is an announcement, I'm going to countdown to the new season expecting KJ to be in charge.

5.) 08 Jul 2016 11:29:42
Tim Spiers confirms on twitter Idiakez has joined Derby County.

6.) 08 Jul 2016 11:39:38
Guillieme Balague on twitter says next tweet will give an official update on the takeover of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

7.) 08 Jul 2016 11:49:17
Balague just tweeted paperwork gone to fa, due diligence?
