Might not be a rumour but a bit of news on Steve Cook (Bournemouth) He is from Hastings and his Dad is a postman here. He works with my brother.
Apparently we offered him £16k a week to join and he was very very tempted as this doubled his money.
Is this not a bit excessive? 16 grand a week?
1.) If he scores 30+ per season that wage would be a snip, if he only gets 5 or 6 he suddenly becomes expensive.
2.) If we want to compete at the top end we need to attract the cream and we can only do so by paying the wages. £16k/w is affordable once we get shot of some of the dross Mick and Solbakken signed.
3.) Yh but he's signed a new contract at Bournemouth about 3 weeks ago
4.) Steve Cook is a centre half why would he score 30+ goals a season?

6.) He's a defender why would he score 30 plus goals?!
I think that is a lot but if he's a good enough player why not offer that? I doubt we would have tho, would he have walked into the team or be back up to bath and stears?
Also I didn't think you could offer wages and speak to a player before you agree a deal?
7.) A defender scoring 30+ a season would be worth a bit more than £16k per week lupinehowler!
8.) My point being - we don't need a defender we need a striker.

Never went last night but heard of people played really couldn't do much about the goal apparently heard rowe and van la parra settled in very well with the pace and the style of play
We should most of our games really up to celta Vigo at home not suprised of they beat us really class team very very good footballing side wouldn't to disspointed with a loss to them really but hope we win. My score predictions
Shamrock rovers 0-5 wolves
Bohemians 0-5 wolves
Perterbrough 2-4 wolves
Crewe 0-3 wolves
Oxford 0-4 wolves
Wolves 1-2 celta Vigo
The reason I think we will lose to celta Vigo is look there team compared to ours the beat barca and Real Madrid last season and finished 9th in ligia so I think you expect them to win but not by much like I put in the predictions as there pre-season won't long have started when the play us
10.) We played well last yea against real Betis and just about lost. They had a bad season last year but the year before finished high so you never know b an interesting game and one I can't wait to see along with the new season! And a new striker arrive
11.) Burnley have agreed 1 mil with Middlesborough to sign the striker we were linked with can't spell his name
12.) Yep lukas jutkiewicz is going to burnley, but Leicester made £6.1 mil bid for Leonardo Ulloa from Brighton so there will be room for Chris wood to leave for us to sign
13.) Yeh I saw that to hope they sign him and we can get wood

I rarely post tbh but read this site every day.

Let's just cool it? People getting uber worried and flinging doom around. We came 7th last year, record points. We have lost Docherty. That is a huge shame but he's 1 player. Without us signing anyone, we'll come top 10 again.
I imagine that the powers that be are working hard, behind the scenes. Very difficult to go to Spain, France etc and be back at work the next morning at the moment.
