Hednesford Wolf

1.) 14 Jun 2023 13:08:49
Correct

What is the delay with Nunes, getting nervous now .

Hednesford Wolf

{Ed002's Note - it takes time to obtain the international clearance.}

1.) 17 Aug 2022 18:28:51
Hopefully, they're doing the media stuff to make a big announcement but keep saying stuff like that Ed002, it helps.?

2.) 17 Aug 2022 20:26:15
Website posted pic of Nunes with 27 on his back then quickly deleted it. Funny how we've had emails with 27% off in clubshop ?

3.) 17 Aug 2022 21:05:03
Thought that too south banker, they did a similar discount when guedes joined I belive.

4.) 17 Aug 2022 21:10:53
Media delay apparantly.

5.) 17 Aug 2022 23:07:46
C'mon Jeff get it over the line and I'll dish up the humble pie (and yes I'm happy to eat the first slice:)!? Does annoy me though, the reporter breaking it on Sky says 'if he takes to English football in the first season then we may well also be talking about him in the next transfer window'! ?
I'm not saying it's never going to happen (only the top four get that luxury) but it would be nice if they let us actually sign him before talking about his next transfer! I bet they said the same when Neves moved, well now he's got the armband! Again he may go (who knows) but he's already settled FAR better then ANY of those same journos said he would when he arrived! COYW ?

6.) 17 Aug 2022 23:59:59
Nunez announced! He’s a wolf!

7.) 18 Aug 2022 01:17:07
Such an odd time to announce but seen him in the shirt and I couldn't be happier! Five year contract with a one year option, that's a statement! There might well be a release fee in there but as long as it huge then still excellent business! Credit where its due Jeff and Scott (and probs a decent helping of Uncle Jorge) you have played a blinder! ??

8.) 18 Aug 2022 11:05:16
Well chuffed! An excellent signing saw it on our site during the night. Probably about the only good thing about being a poor sleeper, last night it was worth it! Now for a striker. Well done recruiting team and the man with the wallet!

9.) 18 Aug 2022 11:15:32
Things look like they're starting to come together now, still about 2 weeks left to try to find the missing pieces of the jigsaw.

So with nothing to report due to suspension of the matches, the sports hacks are reporting that Man utd, Arsenal, spurs etc are looking to buy any and all our players, rubbish journalism.

Hednesford Wolf

1.) 14 Mar 2020 21:14:34
Jumped up college boys from London and Manchester with no proper journalist skills whatsoever.

2.) 15 Mar 2020 08:58:36
Totally agree. What I find particularly irritating is that these people seem to be living in the past and still think that the so called big 6 clubs can cherry pick the best players from other clubs. The reports are all written along the lines of whether Arsenal or Spurs or Man U decide to take our players - as if it is their choice - with no understanding or recognition of how the football map has changed. Reality is that we are a big club, a very well run club with rich and ambitious owners and a head coach who is fantastic. We have a great group of players who are improving and the club is on the up. The old order is no more.

{Ed001's Note - the reports are written like that because they are aiming for the most clicks, rather than about being true. You get more clicks by linking a player to Liverpool/Man Utd/Arsenal etc than other teams. So people write about them. It is pure clickbait and if people just stopped clicking on them they would go away.}

3.) 15 Mar 2020 13:52:14
Good point Ed.

{Ed001's Note - drives me mad. The likes of NewsNow have 99% of crap in their links but they refuse to do anything about it as they don't give a toss about the people reading. It is all about getting clicks.}

4.) 15 Mar 2020 14:43:06
ED001 and everyone else here - if you want to see clickbait fodder look no further than the Brum Mail. They use the most misleading headlines, mix and match to stories to concoct the fraudulent headline. Another thing that irks me is when the likes of HITC quote other rubbish sites.

As a side note, I remember the BBC once issued statistics about the gossip stories they publish and the paper with the highest accuracy was the Guardian - that accuracy was 15%.

To quote the great Eamon Dunphy "Football is just soap opera for men"

{Ed001's Note - I try and avoid papers like that and I never look at HITC it is pure dross and badly written dross too.}

5.) 15 Mar 2020 18:32:19
Agreed. Most garbage usually comes from Alex Dicken and Birmingham Live. Utter tripe.

03 Feb 2020 14:31:15
Is Thelwell leaving then?

Hednesford Wolf

1.) 03 Feb 2020 16:14:08
Of the the MLS, wonder if he was asked to go,?

2.) 03 Feb 2020 16:27:41
He's confirmed it.

3.) 03 Feb 2020 16:47:34
The haters have got what they wanted now.

4.) 03 Feb 2020 17:35:50
If even the bloody-tea lady left people like SQ would seize on it and say Fosun has lost interest!

5.) 03 Feb 2020 18:17:15
Jez Moxey to return!

6.) 03 Feb 2020 18:54:44
Jas, that reminds me. The Fosun-haters (i. e. Baggie fans) go way back to the beginning on this site. When Moxey resigned after the Fosun takeover, some people said he knew the whole thing would go pear-shaped with Fosun, so he got out.

I'm so enjoying the rise of Wolves.

7.) 03 Feb 2020 19:32:25
Deep Throat, agreed. The reason he got out though was that Fosun knew he was limited in his ability. Jeff Shi has taken on the role Thelwell held but surely we must have someone coming in as I'm sure he took on Dalrymple's role too.

8.) 03 Feb 2020 20:51:54
Getting rid of the deadwood.

9.) 03 Feb 2020 22:25:02
Interestingly if you read Nunos interview after Podence was tied up he suggested we could be in for one more. Well that never happened and I can't help but wonder if inability to get a striker overe then line may have been viewed as a lacking on Thelwells part? Either way personally I've never been massively impressed with him so onwards and upwards I say COYW ;)

10.) 04 Feb 2020 00:05:53
Can't understand why some are knocking Thelwell. Look what he's done for the club. Oversaw the Academy, in the process turning them into Catergory A. Oversaw the signings of Patricio, Moutinho, Jimenez, Podence and Traore so all in all not a bad job. Hopefully whoever takes over can take us to the next level.

11.) 04 Feb 2020 09:26:29
It wouldn't of been thelwell why these players came here it would of been Nuno and uncle george.

12.) 04 Feb 2020 09:52:59
Thelwell has played his role well in taking us up to the level where we are now, i. e. knocking on the door to the top six and progressing in Europe. We've come a long, long way from the Morgan-Moxey days. This is probably the best time to be a Wolves fan since the days of Stan Cullis.

With the talent in the U23 side I can foresee greater things from us. It won't be all about big-name big-money signings, we will keep the strategy we have now. Buy shrewdly, buy young, develop from within.

13.) 04 Feb 2020 09:54:36
Really, so why did Patricio, Jimenez etc not join him at Valencia? I accept that Nuno and Mendes play a big part of incoming players but they also have to want to join a club going places. Thanks to Fosuns vision and Thelwells commitment, our ambition was elevated and made more attractive.

14.) 04 Feb 2020 10:56:05
If wolves want to compete in the champions League, we are going to have to do better than buy shrewd and young players, we would not be able to compete, we are are good side, but we have to be a great side, we do need a couple of great great players to finish teams off.

15.) 04 Feb 2020 11:38:41
To the haters Thelwell was responsible for bringing in Coady, Traore and Dendonker, he was also the one who bought in Jackett which kick started our revolution.
Also he was the one responsible for improving the acadamey, so give it a rest yeah.
Wonder who you'll blame now?

16.) 04 Feb 2020 12:54:07
Take your point Tibbsy but all great players were young and promising players once. We will in my opinion, in due course, compete in the CL with the present strategy. We will not go round like headless chickens (Man U comes to mind) spending pots of money on so-called big names like Pogba.

Man U ended up so desperate for a striker last week that they nearly brought Glenn Murray in from Brighton. Call that strategy? Where has all the squad building gone?

The only other team's strategy I admire is Liverpool's. They have sold some very big names to bank profits to get the squad they have now, which includes home grown players. For this reason Liverpool's net spend is a lot lower than you might think.

17.) 04 Feb 2020 13:04:11
Guys we can debate which signings were his and which weren't but in truth none of us will ever know. All I would say is that if he is that good why are we letting him go? And more to the point why has no one else been in for him up until now? Last question but why is it that only LA are in for him who are a team playing at a lower than Championship level?

18.) 04 Feb 2020 13:53:47
12 years with one Organisation is good achievement in this day and age.
Fosun seems to be a caring employer, but equally constantly looking to raise standards in all Departments.
I am delighted that Thelwell has found a new role and I wish him well.
Onwards and upwards. the Pack continues to strengthen.

19.) 04 Feb 2020 15:16:05
In my opinion, Telwell became the new Moxey. Just a pantomime villain.

20.) 04 Feb 2020 17:58:14
Ironically I actually agree Debs, in so much as in terms of abuse there always seems a need for a pantomime villain at most clubs (sadly) . Wonder if Jeff is feeling nervous with that in mind!

21.) 05 Feb 2020 13:25:54
Sad if Thelwell had become a pantomime villain. With everything we have achieved to get where we are today, surely everyone at Wolves is a hero not a villain?

A more likely pantomime villain is Mike Ashley at Newcastle.

22.) 05 Feb 2020 14:34:50
Just the way of the world Deep, there's always a fall guy or a boogy man that fans blame normally when transfers don't come off. United have Woodward, WHU have Sullivan and I'm sure the list goes on! Like Deba said for years it was Moxey, if it went wrong blame Jez! Sad yes but the nature of the business when you are dealing with a mob mentallity, sadly football usually does! 🙄.

23.) 05 Feb 2020 16:47:41
Sorry to see Thelwell go, perhaps an issue over only being permitted to sign Mendes clients.

24.) 05 Feb 2020 19:41:33
Jonny, Jimenez, Traore, Dendonker, Boly, Vinagre, Loiodice, Jordao and Campana. All signed since Fosun took over, none are clients of Gestifute (Jorge Mendes)

25.) 05 Feb 2020 23:05:01
Fair point Jas although the point is still valid, in so much as I wonder how much say he had in ANY of those signings? I'm not saying he didn't (for all I know they could have been his signings) BUT it certainly would make anyone want a new job if they felt their role had become little more than a glorified account organising money rather than sourcing players. If essentially he was given a list by Mendes and told to work from that then I could understand why that would rankle! I'm sure we'll find out in the years to come but the timing of this (after a window) can't be a coincidence! COYW 👍.

26.) 05 Feb 2020 23:53:39
Anyone read the article claiming that Thelwell suggested the signings of Dani Olmo and Hwang Hee-Chan only to be over ruled by Nuno who wanted Campana and Podence?

27.) 06 Feb 2020 11:49:06
Jas, I read that as well. Thelwell was apparently overruled by Nuno. If true, this is how it should be. Nuno is the ultimate expert in footballing matters at Wolves.

28.) 06 Feb 2020 11:51:19
I did not and if honest I always take articles claiming to know inner dealings of any club with a serious pinch of salt (depending on the source;) . It was well documented that we were in for Chan but the move broke down on finance, also we have been tracking Campana since the u20's South American cup. Overruled by Nuno is one thing and frankly would also be the signs of a healthy club (the manager lives and dies on signings so they should have a strong say) . Still it would be an entirely different/ more grating scenario to be overruled by someone that's not even working for the club (cough, Uncle Jorge, cough) ;)

07 Aug 2018 19:54:21
Any one know what the hold up is with Troare being announced.

Hednesford Wolf

1.) 07 Aug 2018 20:03:39
I am thinking the same thing. Knowing our luck he has failed the medical.

2.) 07 Aug 2018 20:14:24
He’s been pictured at the Mount hotel in wolves so he’s probably completed the medical and will be announced tomorrow, will follow a big day or two for the club imo, I’m not in the know, but can just see it happening.

3.) 07 Aug 2018 20:11:46
It's a record fee so their obviously waitin to give it the biggest exposure possible, until we break this transfer record again in the next 48 hours 🤞.

4.) 07 Aug 2018 20:27:22
I just think it's a bit strange that it is taking so long.

5.) 07 Aug 2018 20:29:30
He trying decide if spires or Nash get announced that he joined and if wants race a cheetah in his intro video.

6.) 07 Aug 2018 20:41:17
If he failed or it was off we would of known by now the only reasons I can think is either they could announce another signing tomorrow to excite the fans even more or maybe just announce that a player is having a medical alongside the traore signing or we won't be signing anyone else after traore so want to leave it a bit longer.

7.) 07 Aug 2018 21:12:38
Wolves are about to announce an 18million pound signing!
Just let that sink in for a moment! Just hope he improves with us because he needs to!

8.) 07 Aug 2018 21:13:29
Nash tweeted Adams signed.

9.) 07 Aug 2018 21:25:43
Signed 5year contract according to Tim nash.

10.) 07 Aug 2018 21:26:31
Adama Traore. Signed. Sealed. A Wolves player. Tim spiers just.

11.) 07 Aug 2018 21:38:18
Tim Nash saying that traore will be announced tomorrow.

12.) 08 Aug 2018 15:50:30
Is the marquee signing Leon Clarke?

13.) 08 Aug 2018 15:51:24
Danny Batth will stay and fight for place - a bad start would let him in.

Diabolical scenes marr a good result but corrupt FA will ensure we are now drawn away to someone like Man City, Liverpool or united mark my words

Hednesford Wolf

1.) 28 Jan 2024 15:27:47
Bha at home

2.) 28 Jan 2024 16:10:22
Can we please stop with the persecution theories? We have been done dirty by VAR, but that's as far as it goes.

3.) 28 Jan 2024 16:58:08
Hope Jas is OK, he was in with the family seats and the Baggies. Seen nothing like that since the bad times which I thought were cleaned up. An investigation needed. Still cannot understand why football fans kick off with thuggery, and just cannot sit together. Every rugby match I have attended has been mixed, and lots of alcohol. But no trouble. Same with cricket. Why?

4.) 28 Jan 2024 17:11:08
We can all hazard opinions Wimborne but it's something for serious academic research. I'm unsure if any has ever been done.

5.) 28 Jan 2024 17:16:04
Someone who was there was talking about it a bit on forums said he hasn't seen anything like that since the 80s it was bad.

6.) 28 Jan 2024 17:16:43
Yeah I have to agree with Ford here, you can tell Trumps making a come back cause everyone's shouting conspiracy! The very notion that Wolves are even important enough to the FA for them to risk their entire institution just to give us a tough tie is genuinely hilarious!
And whilst we are talking on it the FA don't need to invent reasons to punish us, cause if it turns out that (as reported) our fans being in the wrong end was the start of the trouble then we (like Brom) are banged to rights! And that ain't the FAs fault it's those shameful excuses for fans that have ruined today's game and yes when I say that I mean ANY fans from either side who were instigating it! Makes my blood truly boil that in 2024 families (like Jas) now won't feel safe going to games as a family! Those animals aren't footy fans they are just pathetic tools bringing shame on the clubs we all love and the people that know them need to start calling them out for the pathetic thugs that they are! ?
Hope you and the family are all OK and safe Jas buddy ?

7.) 28 Jan 2024 17:16:44
Apart from the distasteful scenes, the Sainsbury bags were very funny!

8.) 28 Jan 2024 17:19:04
Tough draw, but could have been a lot worse. Nice to be at home. Last eight, here we come.

9.) 28 Jan 2024 17:27:29
What didn't help was some baggie fans selling their tickets to Wolves fans (some looking for £200 per ticket) I also saw a clip on X where a Wolves fan got seven tickets from the WBA ticket shop (East stand).

31 Aug 2023 12:30:03
With the transfer window closing just thinking who apart from Neves who would you like to see resigbn for us from our sales for last 2 or so few years, I wil start with Saiss.

Hednesford Wolf

1.) 31 Aug 2023 13:15:15
Jota, in a heartbeat.

2.) 31 Aug 2023 13:26:30
Jota for me as well, we went downhill after he left. I have a strange feeling that Neves may well come back to us once he's become a very wealthy man, deservedly so in his case.

3.) 31 Aug 2023 13:33:22
Good shout forgot about him

4.) 31 Aug 2023 13:34:58
Apart from Saiss none of them as they couldn't wait to get out of the door quick enough including golden boy Jota (Collins and Coady are exempt as they didn't want to go).

5.) 31 Aug 2023 13:35:17
A younger moutininho, Jota of course,

6.) 31 Aug 2023 13:37:33
Jota yes Cody to.

7.) 31 Aug 2023 13:39:11
Saiss, bit of aggression in the middle of the park

8.) 31 Aug 2023 14:28:01
Peter Knowles

9.) 31 Aug 2023 14:38:41
I might divide opinions but I think gibbs white should have been given a chance the last time he came back from loan and he's definitely one of notts forests best players

10.) 31 Aug 2023 15:35:24
Yes CB73 you do divide opinions we had him in and out of the team for years but he never performed at the level we needed and we would be stupid to turn down that offer from Forest

I like Saiss but is he the player now he was 3 years ago?

11.) 31 Aug 2023 15:42:19
CB- Whilst I agree that I wish we could have kept MGW, it's worth noting that two managers did try to integrate him after his previous loans and in both cases he went back out on loan on HIS insistence! Bruno Lage even pubically said that he had been disspointed that Morgan pushed for the loan as Lage had a background of integrating young players. I think MGW disliked being seen as an academy player at our place, he's clearly always needed to be the big man on campus! It's a shame though cause I agree the kid clearly has bags of talent. I reckon Chelsea will spend a foolishly large amount of money on him in at some point in the next couple of years. let's hope we have a good sell on clause ?

12.) 31 Aug 2023 16:20:44
Peter Broadbent, my hero.

13.) 31 Aug 2023 20:30:01
Mgw had an attitude.

29 Aug 2023 11:16:36
Pick Nunes put him on bench until 88th min bring him on let fans show their feelings and stiches him up to play in the competition for anyone else .

Hednesford Wolf

1.) 29 Aug 2023 11:49:05
Like the idea Hednesford but if he won't turn up he can't be put on a sheet and therefor not play any part. Question, how are the legalities and FA/League rules set to cover that sort of situation? A player registered to your club refuses to play in a cup game, does a subsequent employer get allowed to use him?. Ed (s)?

2.) 29 Aug 2023 12:41:33
All I would like to say is we won Saturday.
However we did it we won.

3.) 29 Aug 2023 13:07:40
And further, if city decide they don't want a player who won't honour his contract if he decides he dosnt want to, and withdraw any offer, where does that leave us? because if nobody wants to risk millions on a ego we'd be lumbered.

4.) 29 Aug 2023 13:19:56
I read we are linked with Araujo from benfica
Loan with option to buy

5.) 29 Aug 2023 15:15:03
Does anyone else think he could have engineered the sending off? I thought he got mighty upset about not very much.

6.) 29 Aug 2023 16:26:52
Think you crediting the lad with FAR more fore thought than he looks capable of if I'm honest noddy. But who knows these days ?

7.) 29 Aug 2023 16:28:49
in response to noddyboy I said the same when it happened that he waited until the 88th minute then got himself sent off as not to risk injury at the Everton game. I detested Gibbs -White but even he didn't go on strike, and don't want any player who dis respects the club and fans ever playing for us again total idiot. Again nothing like the conduct of Ruben who remained professional throughout. Nunes/Podence/Gudess all can do one and get uncle Jorge to sort them out with new clubs.

8.) 29 Aug 2023 17:30:01
Phill789 Riyad mahres did exactly the same when city tryed to sign him on deadline day from leister but they stuck to the guns and said no
will we do the same?
If we could agree to sell him in jan we could look to bring someone in then but de bruyne will be back the so nunes will be second fiddle

Someone suggested we make him play tonight to cup tie him just to p155 off city if they do manage to sign him

9.) 29 Aug 2023 17:59:44
Yea noddy I suggested he engineered it himself on an earlier post, but he's only interested in himself, not the club not his fellow team mates, do city now really want that mentality now they can see his true attitude? I hope so because talks of him being reintroduced if it falls through isn't going to go down well is it.

05 Aug 2023 09:41:39
Ok so if JLo jumps ship who do you fancy for Manager/ Head Coach?

Hednesford Wolf

1.) 05 Aug 2023 10:49:52
Graham Potter

2.) 05 Aug 2023 10:57:37
Hi Hereford Wolf. Only one candidate if JO leaves “Ted Lasso”. He’s a fictional character and I believe the hype on JO is fictional too. Many Managers voice their disappointment over recruitment it’s staple diet

3.) 05 Aug 2023 11:39:15
If you believe the Mirror with its history of honest accurate reporting then its a debate. Until any sort of official announcement JL IS wolves manager and long may it last.

4.) 05 Aug 2023 12:26:49
Graham Potter

5.) 05 Aug 2023 13:42:27
I know there has been a lot of doom and gloom recently, but looking at our first 16 or 17 I'm pretty impressed
Coyw

6.) 05 Aug 2023 14:48:11
I hope that performance today lays a lot of worries to rest.

7.) 05 Aug 2023 16:53:36
With all the doom and gloom from some I'd suggest Harry Potter rather than Graham.

30 Jul 2023 14:03:55
Well having watched the Celtic game yesterday ourlong standing issues are still obvious a free scoring striker is as it has been for a number of seasons strength in depth and a replacement for Neves as Nunes is not up to it.

Hednesford Wolf

1.) 30 Jul 2023 14:31:44
If Jose Sa can use his woodwork as extra defenders every match we’ll be fine.
