Talk we in for left back Fábio Pereira da Silva from Cardiff, not a bad shout. prefer his twin from Lyon but we do need a specialist LB.

I think we all need to brush up on our Spanish, Potuguese with all these players from Spain, Portugal and Brazil
Ole' ole, ole,

2.) 06 Aug 2016 11:27:47
Am I right in thinking that the reason we are bringing in so many loan players and having only 1 or 2 big signings is because of Financial Fair Play, editor?

{Ed001's Note - no, it is nothing to do with FFP.}

3.) 06 Aug 2016 11:42:01
What radio station will have the match on today?

4.) 06 Aug 2016 11:42:05
So Wolves could go out and blow £80 million on an entire new team if they wanted to without getting a fine, etc?

{Ed001's Note - so long as their loss over a 3 year period is within the restrictions, yes.}

5.) 06 Aug 2016 11:49:53
I think we're bringing in so many loan players because we're feeling our way. If we wanted to spend big on permanent signings, FFP wouldn't hold us back, we'd just do what the likes of Bournemouth did (ignore FFP and pay a paltry fine) . Also, FFP is more relaxed now and takes a 3-year view. No point in making big signings unless they are absolutely right. Also, big signings won't want to come to us unless it looks like we will go up.

6.) 06 Aug 2016 12:02:34
It does make you wonder why Fosun aren't spending massively (other than the Tulisca rumour) and are signing players like Bodvarsson or this Metz chap. Especially when you consider how much they want to get into the Premiership this season.

7.) 06 Aug 2016 12:31:31
Perhaps at the moment, the league we are in., we aren't a big enough prospect to attract players on 3 year deals? We could be getting these players in on season long loans and contracts, with an agreement to extend if we have a successful year. I may be wrong, just an idea!

8.) 06 Aug 2016 12:41:06
I'd guess because their first choice Manager took the Spanish job, most of the already scouted and lined up potential signings were probably his choice and they've had to look at it all again. And then the deal seems to have taken longer to finalise than they seemed to expect, so have less time now than they probably expected in order to find their feet.

Talisca still seems to be on, but who knows if others were lined up but were then dropped because of change in new Manager? Walter needs to work out the team tactics and how he wants to play in the Chump, then get players in to fit with that. Our first 'proper' transfer window where we really know what we want / need may not be until Winter.

And while Fosun have stated their absolute desire to get to Prem and as soon as possible, I don't think it's realistic to expect that this season, we need to work so much out and let it gel first. We've not even had a proper pre-season, and are trying to take a threadbare squad forward that was only mid table last season, and is still hampered by injuries for a while.

Have to say I'm disappointed with some of the attitudes I'm seeing on Mol Mix etc, where people 'expect' promotion this season, like it's their right. It's like they are so frustrated at Moxey and Morgan not having got us anywhere, that it's overdue and so Fosun must do it immediately. And they have money so apparently we've a right for them to throw it around without a care, just to satisfy our impatience. It's not fair or realistic, Fosun aren't the ones who've failed us before, they don't deserve our frustration that belongs to Moxey attaching to them and all that unreasonable pressure.

We need to give them a chance, we should be supporting them with open minds, pushing them up, not applying unfair frustration and expectation on them that is likely to only be a weight and push them down. This season we should just enjoy it without expectation, show good will and good heart, if we do better than Kenny did last season and show some seeds of style and quality that can be evolved into the full thing, I reckon that's a positive start, and we can get properly serious next season once they are bedded in.

Stucorbett. Subscribe to wolves player. Great commentary and you can get it on-line. I've had it for the last 8 years in Barbados; never missed a game!

11.) 06 Aug 2016 13:52:21
Agree with pretty much everything you say ulf apart from Lopetgui was not Fosuns first choice. He was taking the position if we were taken over by Robin Li not these guys so I wish everyone would stop keep saying our first choice took the Spain job and let us down. Who knows Zenga may have been first choice for Fosun but what we all need to do is get completely behind the team and manager, quit the negative comments about the new signings just because we have not heard of them. Remember we had not heard of Sako and he did alright. On the other hand established names don't always work at a different club for example Robbie Keane has done fantastic at every club except Liverpool. I am however a bit peed off that we have not gone after proven championship players as well such as Pritchard and McCormack but for all those wanting Alan Judge I don't think he would pass a medical with the badly broken leg suffered at the end of the season. COYW.

12.) 06 Aug 2016 14:21:43
I think Lopetgui has actually said since Fosun took over, that he was their choice but had to pull out as couldn't turn down the National Spanish job. There's an interview on E&S about it, he even said he respected Kenny for putting up with it all and staying professional.

I think Robin Li was just a smoke screen and was never involved, at least as a front man, Lopetgui was Fosun's man. I'm glad though that we got Zenga instead, I think he's a perfect fit personality wise, just need him to make it work on the pitch.

I agree though with everything you say, would have been good to get some solid quality Champ experience in, maybe some players like that will turn up before window closes, or if not, maybe they'll learn we need them and do it in the Winter window?

13.) 06 Aug 2016 14:47:40
Agree with comments above. Next season is more realistic. Dreading the comments should we lose today. Be the same old crap from the same idiots that are negative beyond belief. Come on, get behind our team. It will come good. We are Wolves!

14.) 06 Aug 2016 15:05:23
Mendes, Fosun owner and Benfica President at game today.

15.) 06 Aug 2016 15:29:34
Here's the link to the E&S article where Lopetgui admits it was Fosun (not Robin Li) he was in a deal with as their first choice Manager.

I am sure that certain players have been lined up by the incoming regime, confidentiality agreements prevent any publicity but the worlds No 1 agent is involved so preparation will have been going on, expect some high quality players arriving before the start of the season. Well we live in hope UTW.

With Jorge Mendez being involved with the negotiations I believe you are correct. Don't be too aghast if Moxey stays and Thelwell given a final chance too to prove himself. next week.

2.) 09 Jul 2016 19:15:48
i think moxey might be kept on for a while'though i'm hoping i'm wrong, but as for thelwell'i just can't see it.

3.) 09 Jul 2016 19:17:05
A Fit and Proper Ownership Test, as defined by the FA and FL could take up to 14 days from the date of submission.

4.) 09 Jul 2016 19:47:27
Premier league yes but Chamionship a shorter time as it not the ruling body for Chamionship.

Structure of English Football

The structure of English football is as follows:

The Football Association Premier League governs the Barclays Premier League

The Football League governs the Coca Cola Championship, League One and League Two

The Football Association governs the Blue Square Premier League and the lower leagues

The FA Premier League, the Football League and the FA all have different versions of the fit and proper test due to the FA Premier League strengthening theirs while the others did not.

5.) 09 Jul 2016 19:48:56
It could go to the wire with FA/ FL rubber-stamping. So what if it's two weeks, the transfer targets are probably already in place. I'd rather wait two weeks for Robin Li than have Morgan continue as owner.

6.) 09 Jul 2016 20:01:11
The NDA's will have a closure date so will be interesting!
I would expect the announcement will be in HK before UK, his investment will have cost him 10%, less if it was lodged prior to brexit.
Acquisition will be in the jurisdiction of English Law.

7.) 09 Jul 2016 20:13:25
P. s . purchasers will have had an exchange rate mechanism built in to SPA.

8.) 09 Jul 2016 20:17:45

Perhaps your information is slightly out of date particularly as you refer to the Coca Cola Championship which I don't believe has existed for a good 5-6 years.

9.) 09 Jul 2016 20:27:46
Coca Cola is merely a Sponsorship name, the Championship is well . the Championship which has had will continue to have different sponsors.
My post is from current FA and FL legislation.

10.) 09 Jul 2016 21:24:17
he has to go through fit and proper test with premier league when we get promoted. I wonder if we will see the Chinese media when he is unveiled. mind you it could be a she?

11.) 10 Jul 2016 00:30:25
How long did Aston Villa take to get it rubber stamped and right the way through (which I guess would be necessary as they're in receipt of big Prem parachutes) ? I bet not long.

The thing is with any English Institution, if it's about people with big money and status stuff moves fast, their solicitors move it multi channel if necessary so sign offs are simultaneous rather than queued and everyone is as accommodating and on it as possible. Robin Li appears to have perfect credentials, it means investment in the Country, they're flash people who our people would like to impress and be on best terms with, I reckon if the paperwork is submitted and seems so, it will be fast.

I'd guess especially because they can argue to Authorities that right now they know where they stand with exchange rate but it's volatile, need to close deal asap as if over a week or 2 exchange rate changes significantly could threaten deal.

Stearman having medical tonight - 12 month loan. Not a bad shout, we need cover in that area, he knows the set up, has prem experience and was player of the year prior to being sold this time last year. If he wasnt Ex Wolves we would be happy with this signing.

I think we should get Stearman back from Fulham for footballing reasons, already has an understanding with Batth, has experience of all the leagues incl Prem and will only get better surrounded by the other class players we have bought in.

waste of money spend it on 2,3 or 4 experienced championship players to get us up first, strength in depth and variation. 1 player gets injured or off form and that's that.

Geewolf, I had Vertigo for over a year, I put weight on but did have problems with my eyes after all sorts of different tests and pills, I was advised to cut out anything with aspartame in it like diet drinks and chewing gum, I did and within a month no more vertigo symptoms - try it.
