This is all just a smokescreen for the fact that fosun don't actually trust lambert to spend money on the type of players they want at the club.

They are trying to make us big in China and that isn't going to be achieved buying the likes of steele and hugill!

These are the 2 players that we have reportedly made bids for in the last few days which are exactly the type lambert and Thelwall like ( young and overrated)

It's just my opinion but I just don't buy it that lambert wishlist included the likes of Abraham, Hanley and Lawrence, because surely you make them bids before other clubs do!

Think this story has been manufactured by lambert himself to deflect away from the fact he knew he was getting the chop and was trying to save face.

Under no circumstances am I agreeing that mendes should be in charge of transfers, but if you were fosun and had just witnessed the last few months of the season would you honestly trust lambert to spend a good chunk of money!

Wise words indeed Bolton wolf.

Piss poor football was never going to endear him to his bosses, he's a coach who can't coach, a glorified Rob Edwards at best.

Welcome back Stu, looks like he's gone just waitin for the Fosun statement to confirm it 👍.

30 players in the 1st team squad all probably on a minimum of 10 grand a week, which equates to over 15m a year just in players wages. So I can understand lambert saying players need to leave before we can buy, FFP is something we need to abide by, it's just a shame that some folk think just because we've got billionaire owners that we can spend as much as we want.

Yes the beginning of the seasons influx of players was stupid, but 95% of us didn't think so at the time, but now it's all lambert fault and fosun have lost interest!

Come on let's have a bit of a reality check, plus which decent players are going to want to come to us sitting 16th in the league with a bigger possibility of relegation than promotion.

1.) 06 Jan 2017 16:24:46
Quite a few on less than 10k per week but I get your point we were excited by the arrivals then in the first match only Bod started and John and Gladon and Silvio hardly played same as Tex now we are thinking that only 3 or 4 of them are any good.

2.) 06 Jan 2017 17:13:53
I agree, it was a case of bulking the squad up but unfortunately we filled it with players that weren't good enough. That's going to be our major downfall when we come to try and move these players on. I do agree with a lot of people as to why we haven't sent the loan players back, just hope we weren't that stupid to sign them all up on 12 month loan deals.

I have faith in lambert to get it right eventually, and I would rather see the likes of ronan get a chance than spend money on over rated players, but also agree we are in desperate of a striker.

I know commentators have to be impartial but don Goodmanham is a prat, as an ex player of ours it doesn't take much for him to slag us off!

Bolton wolf

{Ed003's Note - He slags everyone off lol,does my nut in.}

1.) 01 Dec 2016 22:11:10
Completley disagree. He is always fair and does not do my head in.

{Ed003's Note - jolly good.}

2.) 01 Dec 2016 22:46:35
He drives me mad Ed, every time were on the TV he has nothing but negative comments about us.}

3.) 02 Dec 2016 05:57:05
I agree the Don has nothing good to say about us! Shame on him.

4.) 02 Dec 2016 07:17:33
Hey Goodman has the regrettably the right to his opinion unless we can get him Sectioned or moved to commenting on flower arranging would be be better.

5.) 02 Dec 2016 11:08:56
i disagree knowing don personally he loves the wolves was very vocal about the club under moxey and morgan and would like nothing more for wolves to reach there potential.

6.) 02 Dec 2016 16:44:23
I had the pleasure of chatting with Don Goodman over a couple of drinks a few years back and he proved to be a really nice and very friendly bloke. He made his love for the Wolves very clear indeed but he also voiced his genuine worries and criticisms of the team and the club's management. I find his comments on any team to be well thought out and sincere and some of you would do well to listen more and whinge less.

7.) 02 Dec 2016 22:13:16
I have also met Don several times! Yes he is a nice guy no doubt about that BUT I have never heard him say a good word about Wolves! He was not impartial on Sky against QPR! He did not say anything about Poulter elbow on Stearman or the yellow on Cavalero! Seemed to be one sided comments!

All these fans saying "we don't want lambert" are you the same ones who said Bruce wasn't the right man for our club years ago but we're crying out for him just after the take over? Brainless comes to mind. The guy has a good record and it's as simple as that. Do you honestly think the likes of AVB, Warburton or Allardyce would have come to a club 17th in the championship? Get real! We are what we are and at the minute that's a low level championship side, but fortunately with the right guidance we have a squad capable of mountain a serious challenge for the play offs, so let's stop fascinating about managers that are totally out of our reach and get behind the manager that we are presented with regardless of whether all you experienced football experts agree with it or not. That about sums it up Bolton. Doesn't matter who, somebody would object. Even if Alex Ferguson came out of retirement there would be Wolves fans who wouldn't want him. Too old, they would say. Too expensive, they would say.

Lambert is the best of the British managers available. Fantastic record at Norwich. Kept Villa in the PL. I prefer him to Big Sam anyway, no baggage. Vastly under-rated.

Unlucky not to take a point today but same old story in the 1st half, we were shocking. When are in desperate need of a centre half to partner Batth and another forward to support JDB. Saville is definitely not good enough IMO just labours around pitch and was rightly subbed. Still a long way to go and we will only improve so still full of hope that we can have a good season.

Sorry but need 2 centre half's Batth at fault for goal neither won a header in first half both far to slow in possession put us under pressure. Encouraged by new signings Costa tex and prince made a difference need to get them fit to start.

If he scored 20 goals for us and we got promoted I'm pretty sure nobody would careless about his twitter profile.

Sorry ULF but what the hell are you rambling on about? Wolves won't be buying Gray to be enhance the brand of wolves, they'll buy him because he scores goals, and that is what will help with a promotion push.

It's a different player, played in the French 2nd division last season and the one who we were linked with was at besiktas.

Surely that's got to be a wind up! But wouldn't put anything past fosun making this happen, would be another very very big statement of intent.

Totally agree. As far as I saw last night the football at times was unbelievable, 2 badly defended corners and 2 terrible penalty decisions ( one for, one against) cost us a result. You can't score ever chance you get its as simple as that, 4 goals scored in 2 games since the transfer window, do people think that if we'd bought a striker he would score every chance we create? Reality check needed seriously. One defeat all season, the best football witnessed for a very long time and at last our club is moving in the right direction!

So yes, my glass is half full 👍👍.

They wouldn't have scored for us today though as they wouldn't have been in the team because they aren't good enough or technically suited for our style of play. If we'd have kept mason, bod, Saville and Wallace and not brought in who we have then I wonder what would have been said then.? Who cares if they scored, the fact is as stated above that's 10 points from 5 games, if it carries on we are up.

Agree the back 4 are in need of a face lift, but why is it always batth and hause that are singled out? Doc was terrible today and has been for weeks but always seems to escape criticism.
