Just read on tv that Blackburn have had a £1M bid accepted for Murphy. Same old, same old - how could we be outbid by the chicken farmers when we are expecting monies from the likes of Sako (£3M+) and almost certainly others. So much for backing the new manager! Barry

How can we be outbid? Don't think he has signed for anyone yet. But in answer to your question. We are in league 1, Blackburn are in championship.

We haven't been outbid. We have had a bid accepted and we have spoken to Murphy about personal terms but his manager has told him not to sign yet as their could be a better option on the table. I doubt we will get him now. Think he will be on his way to blackburn. Personally if a player is stalling I would have given a deadline to the offer.

Its nothing to do with the transfer fee. Once a fee as been agreed by the first club then its only a case of the second club matching the bid in order to talk to the player.
There's a chance a few more clubs might match the offer. Its all to do with the contract on offer and the lads ambition. there's still an outside chance he might join us. If not we move on. Plenty good players out there.
