Anyone read Loam Keens latest article.

Yet another doom merchant. He writes about the club loses and how it will affect the clubs spending plans going forward.

But he failed to highlight that the figures he's writing about relate to the tear ending MAY 2023.

Since then, we've sold £140m of players and reduced the wage bill by £24m a year.

But if he included this info, people wouldn't read the article as all the press care about is the negativity.

There's a good article on BBC Football Main page. Goes into a higher level of detail.

We will still need to be cautious moving forward unless the club determines that the outcomes of what happened to Everton and whatever happens to Forest is just a risk of doing business. I’m not sure how much Everton were over spending but it was only 6 points. I get that we want to be sustainable and a well run club, but the FFP really doesn’t help the ‘smaller’ teams and those who get promoted especially with how inflated all the fees have gotten to buy a player these days. Also revenue for our team selling shirts for example compared to Man U or Arsenal are going to be much lower as they are a bigger brand, so is 105m loss over 3 seasons really the same when you compare us to them? Does that make sense? Sure there should be a higher FFP restriction for the clubs who can generate more cash because they are at a higher sporting advantage with what they can spend?

Losing 113 million over last 2 years, surely we make a profit this year or we are screwed. The high sales will help but don't equate to net profit. Depressing.

Come the end of May, those in the know at the club will know exactly where we stand with 24/25 expenditure given the £67.2m loss for 22/23 and a likely small profit for 23/24. It'll be very interesting to know what the Jonny and Lopetegui team pay offs were.

Thinking about the sales made, the balance of the amortisation of the contracts has to be expensed hence not the net profit you might think. It will be a struggle to get out of this with accrued losses like that.

The point is that he didn't even mention the sales we made thus year or the fact that Matt Hobbs has publicly said that we are OK.

Old wulf I read that the layouts to Lop, Lage and Jonny were a total of approx 15m.
