Insightful article in today's E&S on Wolves changing their recruitment strategy. What is interesting that when Wolves signed Francisco Trincao on loan, they included a 20 per cent sell on clause. E&S are reporting that he will move to Sporting Lisbon this summer and Wolves will receive an estimated £1.7million (the outlay for his original loan was £5.1m, so still a net loss).

What is more revealing is that Mendes "orchestrated" the move for Guedes, which was "encouraged" by Lage.

Looking increasingly like Neves is off to Barcelona with Fati coming the other way. He was injured but came back with a bit of a bang scoring several goals, according to the Daily Mail.

I wonder who's orchestrated that then, Mmmmmm let me think?

Guedes came to Wolves having played under Lage. Not in the least surprising. No wonder he doesn't want to stay.

An Article in Sport (a newspaper from Barcelona) says that Neves to Barcelona is a done deal.

The problem is that they have to sell Ansu Fati before, or maybe they are trying a swap between both players.

In case you want to read it

As Fati is valued at around 30m more than Neves my first question would be where is the money coming from? Just a thought with regards to ffp. In the gospel according to clickbait Neves is supposedly valued at 26m perhaps we should just be proud of the service that Neves has given us but insist that if he must go it's to an English club that has 45m to spend! I think we have a couple that would take him.

I think Neves himself wants Barcelona Ken, plus would we really like to see him playing against us, irrespective of the price. Jota's sale still annoys me if I'm honest.

I think Neves's valuation is only less than Fati's due to his current contractual situation, but I doubt a straight swap is on the cards as Barcelona also need £££.

Fati is a good player but he doesn't want to play for us. Have we learned nothing from the Cutrone, Trincao and Guedes transfers.

Sorry but it doesn't make any sense to me. I went to the Podcast the other week and what was being said and totting up what could be got for players was just about giving us and JLo a fighting chance. But this just deepens us in the mire. No revenue, when Pl clubs are willing to pay for him (I know he wants to go to Barca) and we get an injury prone young lad who doesn't want to come on an astronomical wage. How does that sound like 'a good bit of business'? Sounds like yet another Mendes manipulation. We are getting the bad end of another of his so called deals which as always benefits him and no one else.

I agree with BartonWolf, makes very good points.

Wolves light to have learned their lesson from Mendes.

Neves to Barcelona is a strange one, when xavi comes out and says he doesn't want neves,he's not going to get. much game time.

Oh was looking forward to lip up fatty and lip up fatty fatty reggae lol.
The transfer window doesn't open till next Wednesday the 14th June.
In an ideal world we get our transfer business done rather swiftly but no need for me to say we don't live in an ideal world.
There's going to be the usual whimsical banter when the transfer window begins.

As stated patience is the order of the day.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us making signings from the South American leagues which we have scouted quite extensively.

I agree Jas, it is plain to see Ansu doesn't want to come to us, it will be another expensive waste of money

The only winner in this scenario will be Jorge Mendes. Neves will be at Barcelona when Xavi clearly doesn't want him there. Fati will be at Molineux where he won't perform as he doesn't want to be here. Mendes will be getting his commission no matter what.

Hopefully, Lopetegui will stick to his word and only bring in players who actually want to be here.

I wouldn't worry too much Jas, does no one remember Liam Keens recent review of things?! He actually openly laughed at the idea of us getting Fati, the idea that it would work for either party is nonsense! Just lazy paper talk, I don't believe for a single second that it's even been discussed between the two clubs to be honest! ?

Think you right Bullys but given Barcelona's long running financial issues and the likelihood of Neves moving there I wouldn't be surprised to see one of their lesser lights heading in our direction. Shame that rules out Gavi, Pedri,Lewendoski and probably Raphina!

Xavi around ten days ago said he would be happy to have Ruben but it would have to be if Frank Kessie were to leave. Apparently Liverpool are interested. Probably all clickbait but actually makes sense financially as opposed to the Fati to Wolves rubbish!

For anyone interested Coady was on the Monday night club on Radio 5 last night and a very good listen it was. He pretty much ran the program! It available on BBC Sounds if you want to have a listen.

JAS I sincerely hope we have learnt after those 3. If it happens again then the fans need to object to the management of the club it becomes glaringly obvious at the ineptitude at the very top

Barton. Probably need an interpreter!

If as reported JL was after Nacho Gonzalez. Staying at Madrid as reported today maybe keeping Coady could be a good idea. Who knows what's going on. Sadly after three years of recruitment by fools we are where we are!
