A very nice article in the Mirror by Ben Husband about Traore. He says that Wolves fans have had the joy of watching "one of the most unique and exciting football players on the planet". I can't disagree with that.
We have just let him go effectively for nothing on loan with no obligation to buy! We are in with a shout of a top four place. We have seen how our players reacted to him in the last couple of games and his towards Bruno. I'm pleased for him and I hope he's happy back there.
As for the board I hope they have something they are working on because the motives of this do raise questions frankly.

He certainly was unique and exciting Ken and I suppose none of us or the media will know the details of the deal unless either club tells us or he rocks up back at the Mol in the summer.
It does go to show where Wolves are now, regular upper top half of the Premier League pushing for Europe with a team bristling with internationals and future internationals, whilst selling and potentially buying players to and from top clubs like Liverpool and Barca. In a different league compared to our pre-Fosun days, well years actually.
By comparison the Baggies have just signed Andy Carroll.

I am sorry to see Traore go, he was an exciting impact player. The truth is though, we could not afford him. He was a bench starter and impact sub, wanting £120k a week. He refused to meet our terms. There is no place for any player who either demands exorbitant terms, or who does not want to stay. He forced this position, and on that basis. Goodbye! We are not so big that we can play the games ManU do, paying crazy prices to get players and bigger and bigger wages to keep them.

Wimbornewolf. If you believe the clickbait number of 120k a week. Do you believe one of the others that said he was happy with the contract on offer from the club and the only sticking point was the size of the release clause. Then it went on and on until we get to where we are. I doubt we'll ever know the truth of it. I just think we are worse off without him!

Pleased if Adama goes, his refusal of a contract renewal at an exorbitant salary says it all for me. Hope he is happy at Barcelona but my prediction is that his reputation will evaporate quickly. Hopefully not too quickly for Barcelona to commit themselves to transfer. With Neto coming back, Wolves will not miss him, Hopefully Neto makes a complete recovery and does not experience a setback.

Another "it said it was this much in the paper or sports reporter said it was" do you actually believe that rubbish?

Ken, none of know the truth or what is or is not clickbait. Rubbish or not there was an issue with him signing a new contract. If he was offered a contract then the club wanted him.

I’ve got to admit not shocked at Adama going to Barcelona he splits opinion and probably will at every club he plays at but he got me off my seat when he got the ball he made me pull my hair out more than once a game but a good move for both player and Club if the figure is right that’s been mooted
Now the fact the papers are saying Neves is priced at £40 million is concerning I mean Chris wood went for £25 million come on wolves get him signed to a contract to show his worth and if there’s a buy out clause so be it at least £65-£70 million minimum in my opinion
Let’s see what the rest of this season brings but no European football next season and I can’t see is keeping either of our Star Centre midfield players which is a worry

It's a good shout that Jonny. We need to learn from Villa here, was Grealish worth £100m of course he wasn't but that was excellent contract management! Get them signed up with an outlandish release fee (I'd actually go one step further with Rueban and go for an £80m release fee). It works on two fronts firstly it helps sell the contract to the player cause they can see a route for progression but it also helps stop all these nonsense negotiations where peeps like Levy offer us buttons. It becomes quite simple, if you want our star player then get out ya cheque book and give us an obscene amount of money! Now that is a genuine win/win, just ask Lec they used it AMAZINGLY to get £80m for Harry Maguire of all players! ?

BB that's the bit the release clause that one of the reports said stopped Adama signing the contract. So the no doubt clickbait report said. The release cost was way too high so that may become an obstacle for some. As for Adama I suspect we'll never know the truth or it'll be a version of someone's truth!
We put ourselves in a no win position in the end. Neves as much as I want him stay this summer new contract or sold. He's got 2 years left hasn't he!

I just hope what ever happens the board get the cheque book out at the end of the season as Bruno Ball is a lot more entertaining than Nunos football The club need to back him with a few quality signings and hopefully Neto comes back strong as that could be the difference in a European place ? maybe even a Champions league (I can but hope)
