Just heard the sad news that Cyril Regis has passed away. I know he only played a handful of times for us at the end of his career but he was a great player in his pomp even if it was for our local rivals.

Cyrille Regis, a gentleman, talisman and a great centre forward. All the plaudits can never say enough about this guy. May you rest in peace, big fella.

Devastated by Big Cyrilles passing, true legend who managed to bridge the divide between four great midlands rivals.
Seems poinient that we all admired and loved him with great memories
1980 at the Hawthorne’s he absolutely ripped us apart, think he scored two that day and we scrammbled a 2:2 draw somehow.
. and I know he’ll be looking down wishing his old teams make it back to the big time. For his sake and his memory let’s hope the Albion survive and we get the chance of avenging the last defeat and doing the Villa the same way.
Why should the Mancs, Scouser and Cockerneys always have the premier league limelight, time for some Black Country and Brummie time!
