Birmingham Live noted that although the new coaching team and Fran Garagarza were in the Directors box last night, Scott Sellars wasn't.

Apparently, Garagarza was seen deep in conversation with Mat Hobbs at half time who himself has been seen increasingly at games with Jeff Shi of late.

Not jumping to any conclusions but it does look like a sense of urgency has descended on the club, with the wheels already in motion for change.

Let's just hope this new team know their business and this win is a small but significant turning point.

LongmyndWolf, you beat me to it!
Interesting report from Birmingham Live.
Encouraging signs.Garagarza, despite denials, with his recruitment background, must be here to bolster the Recruitment Team and was allegedly in deep conversation with Hobbs, both sitting next to Shi.
Also in the Box a Gestifute representative, which suggests to me recruitment plans are being developed.
A notable absentee, one Scott Sellars.can the nightmare of 3 years of football mis-management be finally be coming to an end?

Let's hope so Rugeley. When the acquistions started in this window I thought my concerns were unfounded and they'd turned a corner, but it was not to be and key players were subsequently and inexplicably despatched.

I still can't make sense of it.

On a different note, congratulations to our captain making the England World Cup squad, before signing for Everton for a ridiculous low fee. Got to be heck of a bargain for the scousers . Who ever rubbed stamped that deal should be put out to grass!

Wolves “social media expert” Talking Wolves has weighed in on the matter (as per This is Futbol)
“Garagarza is an intriguing one, because he spent many, many years as sporting director of Eibar over in Spain.

“Now, he’s got a very good reputation over there because they did extremely well, rose through the divisions with him as sporting director with them obviously on an extremely tight budget.

He later added: “Unless there’s going to be some sort of handover period between Scott Sellars and Garagarza, I really don’t understand what role he will be.”

Big comments from our resident “expert”

2 points here guys
1. Try and read the article in the Guardian about Garagarzas career. It's definitely a good insight to him and what he brings to the table.
2. Bloody Sellars. I want Shi to explain to me how a youth team coach can be part of this so called transfer committee and tell the First Team coach which players are acceptable to him! That comment he made when asked about transfers when he clearly stated only the players he liked would be bought and no others regardless of other opinions. That beggars belief. Just show him the door.

I'll dig that article out and take a look Barton, thanks. I don't think many would disagree on your second point.

Barton, just read the Guardian piece with interest. This guy will be running the club in the short term if that article is anything to go by. It looks and sounds more like the appointment of a consultant to oversee the implementation of structural change to systems and processes. Let's see how it plays out.

Ard- I suspect your right as Technical Directors are normally more about staff recruitment. I suspect he's been bought in to find us the right backroom for our recruitment team, which is definitely needed! ?
