I dont. I think we shouldn't settle for 2nd best. If there's a player who is better than douglas then sign him. The exact same with Doherty or anyone else. We made that mistake in the past. We always used to sign someone who isn't as good as our player for a back up.

You forget he is probably two footed as has been the case with the other players we have attracted. So he could play down the left or right. He would be a solid addition and raise the training and development of the players in the system as it would be a system he is used to. Vinagre would benefit enormously from having him in and a round the squad. Just as some one to watch in a defensive as well as a attacking perspective. Watch this space!

I’d imagine who ever you come up with won’t even be on Nuno’s list due to; attitude, discipline, work rate and quality.

During conversation amongst fans here, a rumour appeared that Wolves have enquired about Danny Welbeck which is linked to possible sale of Aubameyang to Arsenal from Dortmund.
Nothing official but would involve many moving pieces. Anyone heard anything there?

The challenge is that which ever three Nuno plays they all offer something different and you will alway so get the odd game which isn’t your day. From that something different you need something more clinical or penetrating. Who fits that bill?
I think we are talking world class and this window isn’t for that sort of signing.
Top forward signings would be: André silva (loan), oliveira (proven and similar to Leo), Afobe (overall better player than grabban, better hold up play than bright, proven scorer in championship, sell on value)
Wouldn’t mind a look at that inter kid in and around the first team of we had option to purchase.

Inter are looking at Sturbridge on loan so may mean they will let the youngster go on loan. Personally I'm excited to see what Rafa Mir can do in 90 minutes. At 9.45pm this evening we may be lauding Mr Mir.

Anew- for me if we are to sign another SC (and think that may depend on how tonight goes) but I would want the Inter lad myself. Loan seems like the best option right now, as would it be better to see what we can get once we are up (I'm still hoping Aboubakar may come then;) .
I just don't see the point in paying good money for Grabban or Afobe when both have shown they can't score in the Prem, think at this stage any permanent signings need to have Prem potiential else you can end up with another bomb squad! Also the lad from Inter is supposed to be class, unfortunately that has also seen Juve tied with him so who knows COYW.
