Wolves linked with former youth player Sam winnall. Could never understand why we let him go, always scored goals and seemed descend for the first team.

I don't know either. There are so many players we shouldn't have sold back then.

Ask Mad Mock he was the one who sold most of them the fool.

All these players like Winnall were let go because they weren't good enough. I'm sure at the time he was let go, not many fans kicked up a fuss as we had Ebanks Blake, Fletcher and Doyle at the club. We can't keep players in the hope that they'll come good in 5 years time. We need then here and now. Remember Leon Clarke. We let him go and he started scoring so the fans demanded to know why he was let go. We then re signed him and he was a complete disaster. People go on about George Friend and Sam Vokes but the truth is they were given their chance but weren't good enough.

Leon Clarke had plenty of chances at wolves. That's a pretty bad example.

Jtwolf, are you suggesting Leon Clarke was a success or have you misunderstood my point?

Leon Clarke should never have been re-signed. I'm not being wise after the fact, what I'm saying is that it was his strike partner Wilson who we should have signed but in typical Wolves tradition we went for the cheaper option and the rest is history. 2 players on polar opposite trajectories.

My point is, I don't think many people were demanding to know why we let Leon Clarke go. He played a lot of games for us and was rubbish.
