Arsenal are aiming to send striker Chuba Akpom out on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers in January as the 21-year-old recovers from a back injury.

Wolves are also expected to take advantage of Notts forest FC current sale situation by attempting a double swoop for former loanee Michael Mancienne and forward Brit Assombalonga

Players that will either be loaned out/ loans to club terminated or sold are as follows: Paul Gladon, Richard Stearman, Borthwick-Jackson, Ola John, Jed Wallace and Dominic Iorfa (should a decent bid come in from West Ham)

Well Bertie that sounds like a box of Allsorts. More need to go I'm afraid. I also feel there needs to be some Structual changes on the training ground. I wonder if PL wants more of the team that usually work with him and know his methods around him? Thelwell needs to be relocated to another team elsewhere. Clearly his choice and the way that side is operating isn't working is it? 😉.

I've heard James Collins will be part of the Iorfa deal.

Last thing this club needs are other clubs crocks, we've got enough of our own, get players in on sensible contracts, that's the only way to get them to perform week in, week out.

Jimmy that sounds awfully like Moxey.

I hope they keep Williamson and give him a chance. He could be really important next year.

By the sounds of things, a lot of players could be shifted out come January. My only worry is If we're in the same situation in the league come January, we won't attract the quality we want and need. Have to start getting results sooner rather than later!

7.) 28 Nov 2016
28 Nov 2016 18:54:37
Most concerning thing of all is that PL wants to recall EEL and Henry back into the first team. The starting 11 will resemble a very average league one side very soon. Makes you wonder why Fosun brought any new players in, or just how long Lambert will keep his job going back to Jackett's rubbish.

8.) 28 Nov 2016
28 Nov 2016 19:18:07
I agree with you JimmyJones. We don't need other teams cast offs. Experienced, quality FIT players is what we need with some quality experienced younger players. 😉.

Rumours flying about of the return of Kenny Jackett. Surely not? He's chucked it in at Rotherham.

10.) 29 Nov 2016
29 Nov 2016 07:40:34
Maybe KJ is going to Norwich or QPR as number two. He's a mate of Ian Holloway. So QPR sounds possible. Can I see him working with Moxey at Norwich? Hmm.

11.) 29 Nov 2016
29 Nov 2016 11:16:06
Can't believe people think Jackett is comin back here! Never happen! Shows he's got no balls and is spineless, and also just a mediocre manager at best! Warnock even though I'm not keen on him would be a far better boss here than Jackett ever was!

12.) 29 Nov 2016
29 Nov 2016 13:57:17
Wolves was a well-run club when Jez Moxey was CEO. Now it's run by corporate goons from China. All these loan deals and bad buys are precursor to a double relegation. It will be League Two by 2018. Crowd wiil be 8,000 and you will be able to buy the club for.

29 Nov 2016 17:48:15
PT, you don't half, don't you! Complete blind spot for a manager that was working under strict financial restraints a club that was up for sale and many of the quality in the first team injured. KJ, would NOT given the change in circumstances of the club left us in this more, that's for sure. He may not have been a prem manager, but definitely knows the championship. I think many on this site would recognise that at least! 😀.

14.) 29 Nov 2016
29 Nov 2016 18:54:56
He knows the championship that well he's walked out on Rotherham with well over half the season left because he doesn't want a relegation on his cv because he's not up to the job! Fact!

15.) 29 Nov 2016
29 Nov 2016 19:01:58
Left us in this Mess that was supposed to say. Bloody predicted text again. Simply put if KJ were still in charge and with this change in circumstances I'm sure he wouldn't have bought in 12/ 13 new personnel, and would have bought in maybe 4/ 5 quality tried and tested and released a few. He was nowhere near as bad as your making out PT. Working within tight constraints and lots of injuries to key players is very difficult. 😀.

16.) 29 Nov 2016
29 Nov 2016 22:42:16
WolvesCoast KJ would've bought in a load of tosh like the rubbish that's been playing lately the new guys are even playing and you're blaming them!

17.) 30 Nov 2016
30 Nov 2016 08:22:38
Darbo what I'm saying is, we wouldn't be 3rd off the bottom of the league. He wouldn't have sanctioned 13 new players and would have had some money to actually get in some quality. Quite why a manager needs Thewell is somewhat confusing as there seems to be a common thread here. That being that he seems to be bringing in all these new players supposedly with the authority of the manager. This setup is not working is it. Quite the opposite. Even managers, well respected ones acknowledge what KJ has done! Hopefully, they know a bit more than us. we are in this mess because of bad management and I'm certain if he had stayed we wouldn't be where we are now. For the last 18 months of his tenancy he worked under strict constraints and had many injuries. Things totally changed when fosun came in. All I'm saying is I bet he would have made a better fist of the situation than Zynga did. Can't blame PL he only been in 5 mins. 😉.

18.) 30 Nov 2016
30 Nov 2016 08:51:36
Basically Jackett had a cushy number under Morgan and Moxey but when FOSUN came in he couldn't hack the pressure and walked! WOLVESCOAST u must be related to him not to see it?

19.) 30 Nov 2016
30 Nov 2016 11:34:46
Jackett was fired, or do you know something we don't Paul?

Don't blame him leaving Rotherham. He will have decided there's nothing he can do with that team unlike with us when he stayed 3 seasons and would have stayed longer.

We just don't know what would have happened this season under KJ. If he had a budget like Zenga had he wouldn't have signed Benfica youngsters. He might have signed players like Bod and Saiss, though. And got some decent loanees in.

20.) 30 Nov 2016
30 Nov 2016 11:45:20
JACKETT 😂😂😂 what about Price and Macdonald? Our two best midfielders, one he sold the other he didn't play! He really knew what he was doin? NOT! He knew the pressure he would be under with Fosun so bottled that job and also he knew the circumstances surrounding the Rotherham job, and he also bottled that one!

21.) 30 Nov 2016
30 Nov 2016 12:00:24
The various interpretations of how the football side has been managed are all Red Herrings.
As I understand it, Jackett's role was to recommend what resources were needed and Thelwell's job was to get the players. All went wrong when Thelwell couldn't deliver and found alternatives which Jackett didn't want. He was forced to take them as the Club backed Thelwell.
Apparently Morgan was sympathetic to Jackett, but Moxey sided with Thelwell. all downhill from then!
Even worse under Fosun, no manager, so Mendes decided, and Thelwell seems to have meekly stood back and contributed nothing.
I will never blame Zenga, it was mission impossible for him and I think in a sensible structure, he could have done well.
My hope is that Lambert will have complete control of 1st Team structure, with Thelwell standing right back, doing the admin. or even better, being sacked.
We will know very soon by the players we release and hopefully sign in Jan if that is how it will work going forward.

Spot on Euroman. I'm of course not related in anyway to KJ but do recognise working under Morgan and the contraints imposed with regards finances along with injuries, he was up against it. As you say he was fired and didn't walk. It appears some people don't even acknowledge what's printed in the press and common knowledge! I'm certain given the right financial backing we would have seen plenty of quality tried and tested championship players here, well maybe 4/ 5 and wouldn't be in the mess we are in now. That's just the way I see it. Every manager has his ups and downs. Look at Meriniho that's not a bed of roses is it? 😉.

23.) 30 Nov 2016
30 Nov 2016 15:10:01
Over the last 5-6 years there has been a constant thorn in Wolves side one being Thelwell and for me the other has to be Tony Daley. I look at the players and they don't look fit, we were supposed to be playing high pressing fast tempo football and all I see are lethargic players ambling around until we are dead and buried in games. Let's get some urgency and play with passion and energy.

It's starting to work for Liverpool and this is the way modern football should be played and. It sitting back with 5 in midfield especially at home!

24.) 30 Nov 2016
30 Nov 2016 16:06:04
Good shout Rugeleywolf2. some sense coming through with Euroman and a few others as well. Zynga should have been given more time. I thought there was a glimmer at the end of the tunnel.

KJ, would have had money to get a few decent quality players and we would at least be looking at the right end of the table. It's in the past now and we move on! Let's get behind PL now and keep our fingers crossed the team get their bloody fingers out and do what there supposed to do, win matches! 😉.

Couldn't have put it better myself WOLVESCOAST. I seriously believe that KJ would have been great now but Fosun sack him. I'm really concerned however that calverio isn't playing as I reckon he could shine in this league. For me he starts over anyone at right midfield any day. Why no one sees that I have no idea.

My starting line up for QPR:
GK Ikeme
RB Iorfa
CB Hause
CB Saiss
LB Silvio
CM Price
CM Edwards
CAM Costa
LW Calverio
ST Bodvarsson
RW Dicko.

Deepthroat KJ chucked it in at Rotherham I imagine for the same reason PL chucked it in at Blackburn. He could see tooooo much brown stuff he didn't want to wade into and was probably told he would get financial support which didn't appear so thought. Don't fancy pissing into the wind on this and I'm off! 😉.

There's a total contrast between PL @ Blackburn and KJ @ Rotherham. PL did the job of keeping Blackburn in the division they were in.
KJ did a job that half a dozen decent manager could have done by getting us out of L1. That's were it ended, lucky 1st Championship season then downward spiral. Whether KJ would have or wouldn't have conversation is a waste of time, same as the previous MM was this and that. Let's just get behind PL to sort out the Squad he's in herited (70-75%KJ players) and give him time to do it.
No good looking back wishing let's start believing.

Sako was the reason Jackett did so well. We would have struggled to get out of league one, or finished with 77 points in the championship without him. Ironically, it should be Solbakken we are thanking.

If the club want solidarity, bringing Sako back would help, especially if John, Tex and Costa are to depart at the end of the season. I speak for the majority of fans about this.

Thanks Wolvescoast. I liked KJ and never understood how he got things so right in L1 but couldn't transfer those skills to the Championship. Other teams like us - Norwich, Southampton, Swansea, Leicester - all managed to keep the momentum going. I can see why Fosun wanted someone else, though. After two years of going nowhere, they wanted a fresh start. Think Real Madrid. Or even Man City. To keep a manager job beyond two seasons is a rarity.

PL should be the right kind of manager for us. I was hoping things would be like when Roy Keane went to Sunderland. One end of the table to the other. But that's a bit much to hope for. But we've seen with Derby than a few wins is all it takes to go from a relegation battle to chasing the playoffs.

That leaves the team. And the 11 stated by Wolves011 are probably as good as it gets, which means 4231. Maybe Doc for Iorfa but neither are shining at the moment. Definitely pair Saiss and Price for some DM clout. I would like to see Mason given a chance but who would drop Dicko or Bod for Mason? At least Wallace, Saville and CBJ aren't there. Leave Batth out to adjust his mind for a few games too.

If this team can't perform, it's hard top see who can. We have some players waiting to come back. Zyro and Graham of course. And Onion, John and Williamson. All could be considered first team material. Probably leave out youngsters until we have some momentum behind us.
